Synology M.2 2280 NVMe SSD SNV3410 400GB (SNV3410-400G)

Bought for a DS923+ and it's worked flawlessly as I would expect of a 1st part unit. Happy to pay the cost for no worries about hardware compatibility.

I used this memory module to improve the performance of my Synology DS1522+ Network Attached Storage (NAS) unit. The synology DS1522+ uses the memory to buffer disk access and provide a smooth data stream. It works much better than my old Drobo 5D.

Little expensive but works like a charm in my Synology 1821+

Synology has tried more to lock down their media and expansions, especially in the upper range of the product lineup. While you can find workarounds for the hard-disk nags and warnings about unsupported drives, I'm not so sure about SSD cache drives - I didn't try it, and these work OK but are quite pricey for what you get in capacity and performance. You're not going to get Gen 4x4 throughput here, and ultimately you need two drives to have some redundancy if you want to use them as cache. If you cache the metadata and such it does improve directory operations nicely, so it's worth doing it if you have a lot of files.

I decided to add a second of these to my Synology NAS. It is (turning off the NAS first) plug and play and is fully compatible. It seems faster, but I also have three 6T drives in a 5 bay Synology NAS each with a 512 cache so how much faster I really can’t say. I don’t have the tools to analyze that.

Easy to install and configure. Interfaced with iOS seemlessly.

A little pricey but in corporate environments you cant take any risk, so go for it For a little company (3-5 users) I would buy other brands (for the price obviously)

DS423+に組み込んで使用していますがストレージがSSDで、キャッシュもSSDだとファイル読み出しが早くて快適です。 ストレージがハードディスクがでも、SSDキャッシュがあるとなしでは読み出だしの体感速度が変わると思います。

キャッシュ効果はありそうですが、ちょっと金額が高いので星４つとしました。
