The previous review addressed not being able to move the button to turn it on. I had the same problem, so I just pushed down on the button, and it works. The feeder is beautiful at night, and just as pictured.I have now ordered a total of four of these feeders to give as gifts. They are beautiful and functional!

It looks like the off and on button should move but it won't and so the solar is not working. I threw the box away so now I cannot return it. I would just like a new solar insert that works.

I bought this to replace a plastic gazebo from Walmart. Unfortunately this was immediately seen as being one bird feeder that I could not put it up in my back yard. The holes in the filigree is much larger than the bird seed I would put in it. I am returning it.

Within a day a cardinal family, thrashers & a blue jay found it. Within a week nanday parakeets found it. 2 weeks later & now IronKitty Cal is in the window watching them at least 5 hours daily!Now that you've read the truly important part....it's attractive & the solar light feature is still working well.The only drawback is that the birds scatter a mess (the feeder is at the edge of a patio) getting the sunflower seeds out of the cutouts. I'll probably get a separate feeder for those seeds & start buying them separate, stick to the smaller seeds with this feeder. Or move it further into the yard. Or quit whining about sweeping up discarded seed husks😁

This is the second time we've purchased this bird feeder because the landscapers damaged the first one we bought earlier this summer. The light is super bright at night as long as it gets enough sun. We did notice that on the second one, the solar unit is not secured in the lid, so be careful if you tip it to clean. Doesn't hold a lot of feed but the birds love it and so does our kitty. ; )
