LugzMen's Drifter Lo LX Classic Oxford Boot

Insufficient glue between boot and sole
Comfortable boot. Soft inner sole, not quite soft enough to stand in all day. I purchased these June 2, wore them to work (furniture factory - no chemical exposure, just a lot of sawdust) every day for 8 hrs/day, 5 day/wk. The first week, the Lugz emblem fell off. Mid October, the outer sole started to separate. Now November 8, the shoe is only attached to the sole at the heel (both boots). 2 stars instead of 1 because they are comfortable and I realize that they are priced around $40 - not $140. I really expected to get a year out of these. But they only lasted 4 months. All I do is walk and stand - no running, jumping, climbing, etc.

Sole came completely off of one shoe and other is partially off. This took place in less then two months of use.very poor workmanship.I was also told to order a half size bigger because the shoe Iwanted didnt come in wide and they should fit the same. Not the case didnt fit well at all.I had just worn out a pair of Lugs i had purchased 10 years ago and loved them.Something has definetly gone wrong someware in the manufacuring part of these shoes.

Poor construction and steel arch support.
The arch support is a piece of steel rivited in. I found this out because the shoe literally fell apart but what surprised me is that I had been experiencing extreme foot pain in the exact area of the arch support. After viewing the structure it was clear why I was having so much pain from these shoes. It literally has caused ongoing pain in my foot that was never there before. I'd suggest being careful with these. Extremely uncomfortable and poorly constructed.

I won't buy these again. Hurt my feet, bad
There's no arch support, the toe box is tight, and after a day on the job I was limping from them crushing my pinky toes (just my pinky toes). Its an expensive shoe for being a less rugged work shoe, having no arch support, a bad toe box, aren't waterproof, or steel toe... If you need a good pair of shoes to fill a lonely spot in your closet, well look no further! These beauties are just the thing. Otherwise, i don't recommend them

The quality is poor
I purchased the boot in May of 2020 And this January of 2021 the sole crack. (see picture). I am not in the construction business where they are worn every day. I am a retired individual and wear them when doing outside work. In fact I took a picture of the heel to show how little wear it had. It was impossible to get a direct link to the Lugz company. I call Amazon and they stated that the product was out side the return date (which is about a 2-week period). I was not looking to return them due to not liking them I wanted to return them because they fail me. Amazon did give me a $10 credit (on a $60 shoe). Not happy and will not buy them again....

Nice
I've been buying lugz for years. They are alot cheaper than the other brand and look good. For the price you can't go wrong. I wouldn't recommend these as work boots. These are just stylish casual footwear. I'm a therapist so I don't forsee these falling apart. The only thing I would change about these is the heel. It's a bit high and my fiance called me Herman Munster.

Avoid the memory foam
Overall good comfortable boots. 3 star rating as I accidentally bout this pair AGAIN because I purchased a pair that lasted 3 months. Dont get me wrong the boots didnt fall apart. The memory foam inserts are HORRIBLE. they form to your feet and dont come back. They rip through easily. I had to remove them after 2-3 months and use my standard inserts from my 4 year old pair that was much better. If you're looking for a casual boot here and there fine. But If u will be wearing daily expect to replace inserts every 2 months as they literally disintegrate

Comfort is awesome
The most comfort I have ever had in a shoe I wear them to work every day and all day comfort. The only thing is they dont last they fall apart but they are so comfortable and cheap I buy a bunch of pairs and just throw them away and on to the next pair and I will gladly do that for the comfort. I have Redwings but no way as comfortable as these.

Amazing Shoes.
These are Fantastic Shoes comfortable and stylish with jeans or cargo pants. The walking is so comfortable feels as though floating and I wouldn’t be worried even in walking in busy downtown cities in the concrete sidewalks since the shoes are built to allow decent bounce in the feet. I wouldn’t wear them night out dancing but “everyday walking” is great shoes. Durable material too!

Lugz's for fall, winter, and spring footwear
I have three pairs of Lugz Men's Drifter Lo Laced Oxford Boots (Black, Brown, Sand) and love them all! Construction is good. The sizing was correct. The shoes remain comfortable from the beginning to the end of the day. And the price was always right! They are my choice for fall, winter, and spring footwear.

Knock Off Lugz
I've been buying these Lugz for almost 25 years and have bought over 20 pair. These are nothing like what I've bought in the past. Started falling apart after only 3 months and the toe began to discolour and became 'shiny' after 3 weeks. What happened to the quality? They have to be knock offs!

These are NOT leather!
My old Empires were leather. Nubuck, they called it, and it wore like steel. These Drifters are “Thermabuck”, which, it turns out, is a man-made material. In the box, it looks the same, but once your feet start sweating like crazy and you take a closer look, you can tell. I won’t badmouth the shoes — I got a good price, and they are just as comfy as my old ones. I am very disappointed, though: Leather breathes, and these... do not. I’ll update the review as time goes on. We’ll see how these hold up.
