Pocket Neopets Pocket Game System - Kougra

What a classic... these were all I played when I was a kid. Waaaay before the fancy iPod Touch, PSP, or Nintendo DSi. I want to collect them all!

I thought it was going to come with everything butbits missing the figure that goes inside.

Love it!!!! It came in the same way you first but one. Reminds me of my childhood and I just love how everything was perfect

I was very excited when I bought my Pocket Neopet. Kougras are one of my favorite pets, and I LOVE Mystery Island! So, of course, I got Kougra On Mystery Island for my Pocket Neopet. It's been a long time since products such as Tomagotchi(did I spell that right?) hit the stores. I, for one, loved Tomagotchi, so it's no surprise that I also love Pocket Neopets! ... ... There are three Pocket Neopets to choose from. Kougra On Mystery Island, Kacheek In The Haunted Woods, and Aisha In The Lost Desert! Each Pocket Neopet comes with a plastic figure of the featured neopet species. The contraption opens up to reveal a 3D plastic world on top, where children can play with their figure (much like Polly Pocket). And a small screen is nestled down below. The graphics are that of any Tomagatchi type toy. At the beginning of the game you can choose a name, gender, and personality for your pet. Once that is complete set the clock and begin the game! The object of the game is to earn Neopoints playing games such as: Racing, Copy Cat, Negg Drop, and Luck. Once you have enough neopoints, you can buy food, toys, and petpets. You must make sure that your pet is happy and healthy, or else it might run away! Playing games will also earn you trophies! If you collect all the trophies at all the different levels you will unlock a secret code, that can be used on the Neopets online game to redeem rare prizes! All in all, I think Pocket Neopets is a fun toy for any kid! Though it cannot replace the online game, Pocket Neopets is a fun alternative for when you cannot get online. It's small and compact, so you can take it anywhere! Hopefully, in the future, Neopets will come out with more species and lands to choose from for Pocket Neopets. I hope my review has helped you decide if this product is right for you.

First I should start off saying that I am a 26 year old mother of 4, and that I have been playing on the neopets site for just about 3 years. I bought one of these little pocket pets in hopes that it would at least mimic the site a tiny bit and maybe buy 4 more for the kids... Well, this will be the last one I buy! You can shop for your pet.. 3 different types of items: Food..Petpets..Toys. But the catch is they only sell 3 items a day in each shop and there aren't many changes from day to day. Your pet won't eat certain food and gets unhappy, yet you only have a few choices to begin with.. Sometimes it likes only one of those 3 items in you can buy for that day. Other than this there are 4 games... a negg catching game(where "neggs" fall on screen and you catch them with a basket at bottom moving left to right), a racing game(all u do is click left-right-left-right REALLY fast to gain speed to beat other cars-really stupid and tedious!), Copy-CAT (it is like simon says), and LUCK (which is like a slot machine type game with thee types of shapes to spin and match). At this point I am only playing it to get the code that is embedded in the device.. I am really disappointed,at least I'll have an item code to show for my [money]!

This review is based on the "Standard from Neopets" you would have hoped for, which is very low in this case.You can go straight ahead and read the other thirty or so reviews and make your own choices, but here is a first-hand opinion who has played Neopets for two years and has just recently left.The pocketpet will be enjoyable for your child or yourself for two-to-three weeks and then tend to be put back on the shelf and whoever will run back and know the internet is much better for this type of gaming.There are three shops, Food Store, Petpet Store and Toy Store. They rotate their items around each day, which is pretty groovy. You must feed your pet three times a day for survival, which costs 700NP daily. There are three games, they will become boring very fast but you must play them to earn NP. That will add up to about 400NP, 3x three games a day. Then you must earn another 300 of the slots game which is worse then the other games. If you own one or will, you'll understand what I'm talking about.Though, you might be a major fan of Neopets and want any Neopet Product you can get your hands on. There are better Neopet products then this, there is better things. I'm rating this 3 out of 10 overall. Don't buy!

The whole concept of this game is great but I would think it would be better if you had more options to choose from pets wise. I mean I love the Kougra and all but I have other pets that are more prioratized than the Kougra. For instance Ixi's are the greatest and that would be one that I would be really anxious to buy. Maybe if they edited the game so that you could choose your pet in the game that would be better. Any how I still bought this game and I love it. I still cant put it down. If you love neopets then this is the one game that is a must have.

Hi. This is COOOL. 3 cool games and 3 neostores. It's worth the money! It is educational because it teaches you how to care for your pet and feed it, play with it and make sure it doesn't run away. Even if it was 30 bucks I would have go it still. This little Kougra lives in mystery island discovering new things. On the screen, watch it walk, chase it's tail and itch it's fleas. I think age 7 to senior would all like this toy. Doesn't this sound cool!!
