Cremo Sculpting Hair Clay for Men, High Hold Matte Finish, 4 oz

I like that this clay is truly a matte finish. I have tried many different products that claim to have a matte texture but don't. It's a pretty light clay. The closest analogy to describe it's texture would be like whipped butter. It's not overly gritty and holds pretty well. The hold is not as great as some other products which means that I have to use more and go through a container pretty quickly.

Overall ok. Was going for more of a clay to help moderate aome moisture throughout the day (humid) that doesn't really moisturize.. This product is more creamy, and it has an ok hold, but it def feels like it adds to the buildup feel for my hair, and weighs it down when it's humid. It is however, easy to rinse out, which is the only advantage it has over say, american crew's clay.

Be careful how much you use, can make your hair appear “greasy” if you have brown or blonde. Bought this because it was supposedly scent free. It really is! Does not have quite as strong of a hold as some others but this is fine for me

This product smells nice, scoops easy, applies even easier and provides decent texture, but just doesn’t have high hold as advertised. It is a light hold hair product 100%. I’ve tried applying additional product a couple of hours after my first application, but it didn’t noticeably change the hold. So, if you are hoping to apply more product to dial up the hold you will get no such luck. I really like Cremo and have been a long time customer of their thickening paste and shave creams, but this particular product doesn’t perform or do what it states on the jar.

This is my son's go-to for hair styling. He loves the texture, the scent isn't to overwhelming and it holds his hair all day. He has short, curly hair and this product is perfect for that style. It's not greasy and is very high quality. I don't mind purchasing it as the tub lasts quite a while and the value is good. It's hard to find a hair product that you like and that is high quality with a good price point. This product hits all three.

This is straightforward to apply. It only takes a little. It doesn’t feel like it’s there yet it holds all day. At most, you just flip things right back in place, even after high wind or a hard hat. Good stuff.

Update -- I ended up missing my return window so I "sucked it up" and continued to use the product. What I did not mention in the reviews but should have is that this product has a black dye that rubs off onto everything. You literally have to wash your hands before wiping them on a towel because it will stain/darken your towel. The other issue is your pillows or any other location where your head will be in contact with a surface. The product rubs off and stains pillow cases or your bedding. It does come out in the wash but wow I am surprised I'm the only one having this issue. I'm not using a lot of product either. I absolutely love Cremo shaving products but they really missed in a big way with this product. The product feels about right when scooping it out of the container but really breaks down quickly when applying it to hair. I ended up having tufts of my horse hair loose all over my head and it looked terrible by the end of the day. The size is also too big for TSA and travel. Lastly and the worst part is the smell. I don't even know how to describe it. Somewhere between medicine and talc powder. Not pleasant at all. I had to avoid people getting too close to me to smell. I'll be returning these as the product is simply not as described.

Very thin and not holding at all , wast of money.
