No, the bottle does not emit sunshine or light of any kind when you open it. It doesn't even glow in the dark, unfortunately. FULFILLS ITS PURPOSE: How can such a tiny drop provide so much vitamin D? And, when D2 used to be the only vitamin D form available for vegans, this is actually the more bioavailable D3 form from a vegan source? I was skeptical, but hopeful. I first purchased this product July 2017, when my vitamin D blood level was very low (<<30ng/mL). I used this product at 2 drops per day to correct my deficiency (suggested directions are "1 drop per day" which is 2,500 IU). I rechecked bloodwork in December 2017, and was happy (surprised) that my vitamin D level was within normal limits! Since then, I have reduced usage to 1 drop per day for maintenance (too early to recheck my level at time of this review March 2018). I cannot compare this product with any other vegan vitamin D3 products since I have only ever used this product, but I can at least say that this product works! CONVENIENT FORMAT (other than dropper mechanism): Drops are not only easier to ingest than pills, but also take up less space than pills. In other words, this tiny bottle (smaller than a pill bottle) is easy to travel with (not to mention less shipping weight & packaging material than pills). I also wonder about vitamin availability with tablet formats. Anyway, I do not notice any flavor to the drops, which makes it easy to ingest directly or to put on any food or liquid. I tend to put a drop on my first spoonful of cereal in the morning. Drops are easier than pills! My only complaint is the dropper mechanism itself. The product is supposed to be stored in "a cool dry place," but it sometimes can drip too fast when stored at room temperature (like you can waste a drop). The company suggests refrigeration to help slow it, but it would be nice to not "need" refrigeration. Plus, the shape of the dropper sometimes collects drops via capillary action, thus leading to one giant drop next time. But these complaints are minor in that I still recommend this product! INEXPENSIVE PRICE: This tiny bottle lasts one year for ~$36 (when used at 1 drop per day). Most vegan vitamin D3 pills are 60 count bottles around $10-20, meaning ~$60++ per year (again ~1 pill per day). So this product is very reasonably priced! NOTE ABOUT SELLER: Additionally, I re-purchased this product in Jan 2018, and then broke the bottle when I accidentally dropped it <1 month later. I emailed the seller a question about it, and they immediately sent a replacement bottle at no charge (not even shipping!). I did not prompt/ask them for a replacement. That is very generous and appreciated! Now go enjoy your lichen extract, and try not to turn into a wolf, I mean fungus! Review: Great Vitamin D. Love it! - This has to be the best price on any vitamin I've ever bought, I only have to buy one this year. The bottle is filled to the top and the capsules are the cutest little vitamins I've ever seen! They're really tiny and super easy to swallow! Love that it's vegan and non gmo. I've been taking this company's fish oil for a while and I'm extremely satisfied with that, too. It's going to take a long time to get through the bottle but so far so good!

Best lichen-sourced (i.e., Vitashine) formulation available!
In my opinion, this is the best lichen-sourced vitamin D product on the market. I have multiple intolerances and DailyD is the only vitamin D product that I have been able to tolerate. I could not tolerate *any* of the lanolin-sourced vitamin D3 formulations, cod liver oil, or any of the other lichen-sourced formulations. DailyD only contains the lichen-sourced vitamin D and organic rice powder in a gelatin capsule, which can be pulled apart if you don't want to ingest the capsule. Besides being very pure, DailyD is also very inexpensive when compared with other lichen-sourced formulations. I am so glad that Do Vitamins makes this formulation, because my vitamin D levels were below normal and I was suffering from the signs and symptoms of a vitamin D deficiency. I don't know what would have happened had I not discovered this product.

Only Vitamin D to Fix Long-Term Deficiency: DailyD Liquid Much More Effective than Prescription Pills
After over 2 years of deficient vitamin D levels while taking a prescription at a very high dose of 150,000 units a week (struggling to maintain a level of 20 to 30, sometimes dropping to the teens), my pharmacist told me he doesn't necessarily trust the pill effectiveness or the test results. I was unable to find a liquid version at such a high dose until I saw DailyD. After a matter of months of the same dose of DailyD, I was up to 70! Though I think the dropper is more annoying than helpful, I was taking such a high dose, I needed a different dropper anyway. It's easy to figure out how many ml to take based on the description on the back. It's worth the extra money to know the product is vegan, and it actually works!

GREAT!
This stuff really works! In three weeks of taking 2 pills a day my level went from 20 to 46! I had a dental infection and taking this made me feel so much better without needing to take antibiotics either. One note though: if you're magnesium deficient you can become constipated taking vitamin D. I'm learning now that I needed to be taking some magnesium (transdermal for better absorption) to keep me regular. And my calcium in blood went up a bit quickly too so have that checked regularly if you decide to take a high dose of the vitamins. I've now reduced my dose to only one pill to maintain. I would have never thought my levels would go up this quickly. I would recommended this to others because it for SURE works.

Vegan friendly, good price, and for a great cause!
What a great cause, 1 bottle of Daily D and a child gets vitamins for a year! That is just awesome. Now, about the vitamins - the price is really great for a YEAR worth! I was taking another Vitashine based vegan D3 and that was costing me about $16 a month! So this is an awesome deal. The vitamins have no smell or taste and the pill is small. You won't be disappointed with these guys at all if you are looking for a vegan source of D3.

Bad packaging
I LOVED the capsules but the liquid is awful. Actually, it's the delivery system that's a problem. I went through a supposed year's supply in 3 months. The glass bottle is wasteful because you have to snap your wrist in order to shake a drop out. Invariably, multiple drops fly out and splash back on to your hand and the bottle. A liquid vitamin would be much better in a plastic squeeze bottle or an eyedropper. I'm very dissatisfied.

I have had a very good experience so far
I have had a very good experience so far. I got this couple months ago and noticed that the bottle is wet every time I used it. I did not contact Do Vitamins but they reached out and asked me how everything was going and if I was happy with the product. As soon as I told them about the leaking problem, they said that they would be more than happy to send another bottle and they did! I have a severe Vitamin D deficiency and I'm doing a lab work in about 2 months. I will update this review after I get the results. Update 05/23/18: I just got my lab results back and my Vitamin D level went from 5 to 22.6 in about five months of using 2 drops a day! I think the product is great and I would recommend it if you have low levels.
