Works well for the most part, but while in Australia I plugged my iPhone into the usb c slot and when I woke up from a night of charging, my phone would not turn on. I’m guessing this was an issue with surge, but frankly I don’t know enough about electric compatibility.

For the longest time I have used a kikkerland universal adapter along with a 20W usb charging brick. They are both quite small and do offer a bit of redundancy on their own. But they are still two items instead of one and avid travelers are on a seemingly never-ending quest for that perfect multi-use item that does it all. This is the rare item that gets very close to perfect. The only issues I can see are that charger does get pretty hot (didn’t seem to do any damage but it’s something I’ll keep an eye on) and as a previous reviewer mentioned…the size of the charger may not fit in small “form fitting” EU charging ports that you find in high-end hotels. Should be no issues in hostels however ;)

This adapter works well in at home in US and during my travel in Spain. The protrude head fits into the round Euro outlets ok. Keep in mind the USB-A and USB-C are shared 20W, so you may not able to charge, for example, two iPhone 13 at the same time. However, additional AC power adapter can be still plugged on the two sides.One thing I don't understand is why all of the travel adapters only come with dummy ground wire without surge protections which can potentially be dangerous.

Using this in a 220v territory and it’s working pretty well. The pass through function is also super useful
