I LOVE this item! It’s sturdy, easy to pack, reasonable weight to carry, sturdy bag - perfect for pool side. It keeps me protected from the sun, which I love. I can enjoy watching my child swim without baking and being uncomfortable. I love the bright blue color - it’s bright and perfect for Summer. It’s fairly easy to set up. I fumble a little with the stand but that more user error than an issue with the product. Will purchase again in a different color. I love it!

Phenomenal umbrella for day sun protection needs! My son likes to take me on his fishing adventures and this umbrella is easy and quick to set up for shade on the banks of the lake. Really appreciate the sturdy base, keeps it upright in windy conditions, especially with the included metal stakes. Nice shade coverage- can easily have two people in chairs under it (one on each side of the pole). Also appreciate the umbrella can be angled as the sun moves. Also love the hanging cup holders- I can keep my sunscreen and sunglasses within arms reach. I even took it on a family trip to Hilton Head and it held up great to the beach and ocean winds! This umbrella is a must-have for anyone with fair skin and/or red hair who have trouble being in full sun for long periods of time. 10/10 recommend this umbrella!

Small enough to cover one chair. Good item if you have limited space or just want a personal umbrella. My first Wondershade lasted a few years. The fabric isn't super durable so be sure to cover it up over the winter months or it wont' last.

I bought this to use at home, on my deck and in my yard. I am aware that it is a portable model meant to bring to parks, events, the beach, etc., but this is perfect for me at home. I live alone, have a small sized deck, and I also like to sit in various places around the yard. I wanted something that I could move easily for shade when I sit in the yard and read. A large, heavy patio model really wouldn't work for that so this seemed like an ideal choice. So far I love it! It is exactly as I expected and I'll be using this all summer long. I feel that what I got for what I paid is totally proportionate. The material is admittedly thin, but that's to be expected for the low price. There is a manufacturing flaw on mine, the seam around one of the edge-flaps was sewn incorrectly and re-sewn, so it's a little messy on that one flap. But it's sewn okay now, so I don't really care. The material, while thin, has the colored exterior (red in my case) and then the inside of the fabric is a reflective silver-gray which I think helps a lot with the sun-blocking and keeping it cool underneath. It is on the small side, 5 feet is smaller than it seems when reading about it and to be clear it's 5 feet for the TOTAL diameter while open. My deck chair, which is bigger than a portable lawn chair doesn't fit entirely under it if I sit beside the pole. But I can position it better by tucking a leg under my chair or moving it where needed depending on where the sun is. So it's not big, but for my use it's fine. Bigger would be heavier and more awkward to move. With it being smaller I can easily pick it up and move it to a new spot without closing the top or the legs. It still sits firmly in place however and hasn't blown over yet. It was super easy to assemble, if that's even the word for it. Open the legs, set that part down, then stick in the umbrella pole, lock it into place and that's it. It sits on my deck evenly and seems very stable. It has a vented top to prevent the wind from blowing it away, although I keep it closed when not in use, but leave it out on the deck. The hooks and cup holders are surprisingly handy. The cup holders have netted bottoms to dry out quickly if wet. Since I use this at home my regular coffee mug doesn't fit in the cup holder of course but it would be perfect for water bottles or cans. I use them to stick my reading glasses in and a pen or whatever small items I have with me. I haven't used it in very windy conditions yet but I am thinking that hanging towels or a beach bag from the hooks would help weigh it down if wind is an issue. Haven't tried it but it seems logical. It comes with a nice rugged carrying case with an exterior pocket for the smaller parts like the hooks and cup holders. The whole thing in the case is not very heavy and would be easy to bring along to wherever, beach, park, events. I really like that it sets up like a patio-style umbrella but is taken down and easily stored in the bag. I don't have much storage space, so this will be great when I take it down for the season. It probably won't last terribly long with the way I am using it daily at home, but the price was right and it serves my purpose. I have no reason not to recommend this unless you have very high standards and want a high quality umbrella in which case you should expect to spend much more. I think this is a great and inexpensive way to get fast and portable shade!

I am obsessed with this portable shade, and this is actually my second one. I use it for baseball games and other outdoor events when I need personal shade but do not want to haul around a large canopy. It is lightweight enough to transport easily, and the adjustable height and angle make a huge difference as the sun moves throughout the day. Instead of constantly moving my chair, I can reposition the umbrella to keep the shade where I need it. It provides enough coverage for one person and is especially helpful on hot, sunny days when there is no natural shade available. It is also much easier to set up and carry than a beach umbrella or full-size tent. I liked my first one so much that I purchased another, which probably says everything. For sports parents, beach trips, outdoor concerts, or anyone who spends hours sitting in the sun, this is absolutely worth having.

Have not had been able to use this yet. But I have had it out. I have a friend who has this same shade umbrella and it is perfect for outdoor activities. It is easy and quick to set up You can use the stakes that are included or buy a couple 10lb weights if you are on pavement. It is pretty sturdy but may have difficulty if used with strong wind. If for some reason the umbrella should tear. You can order just the umbrella part not the whole unit. Comes with a carrying case and shoulder strap. The pole and umbrella are adjustable to move as needed.

Best shade ever! Love this product. We have 7 grandchildren and we are always out at their games, so we have used these umbrellas in all types of weather conditions, and they are holding up fantastic. With the 5ft. wide, and angled ability they provide great shade coverage. Several people have inquired about these wherever we go. They are so easy to handle and store. One tip I can give in windy weather conditions is to take along a bungy cord and strap it to your chair for extra support. This prevents the umbrella from going airborne and you can relax and enjoy the outdoors. It's also great when those unexpected rain showers move in.

I received my Wondershade today, and my initial impression is that it’s a solid option for tailgating, outdoor concerts, park outings, and school field days. The base is sturdy, which is a big plus, but it does take up a significant amount of ground space. Because of this, chairs need to be positioned strategically around the pole to maximize the shaded area. The umbrella material feels less durable compared to my Tommy Bahama umbrellas. I’ve seen other reviews mentioning that the material may not hold up well over time, so that’s something I’ll be monitoring. One of the main reasons I chose this shade is that another reviewer mentioned that Tommy Bahama umbrellas can fit into this base, which is a huge advantage. It adds flexibility, especially if you already own higher‑quality umbrellas. I also appreciate that the company sells replacement umbrellas, base stands, and other accessories on their website, making it easier to extend the life of the product. Update: As others have mentioned, the included stakes do not hold up well in strong wind. This past weekend, a gust of wind lifted the shade and bent the stakes. The stakes are simply not adequate. I plan to try using sandbags instead for better stability. Overall, the Wondershade is a good concept with practical uses, but securing the base needs improvement for windy conditions.

Love my umbrella w s/ stand. Arrived earlier than expected and timing could not be better given the scorching temp/ hot sun. You can adjust the height accordingly. Good sturdy quality, super happy with my purchase.

I love this umbrella used it today at the beach, took a bit to set up for my first time having a beach umbrella but worked great. I would keep something heavy on it in case there is a gust of wind but my purse did the job. Cute cup holders and carrying bag, worth it.
