iCore Chess Set, Travel Magnetic Checkers Board, Electronic No Stress Teaching Game for Kids Adults

I bought this chess board for my 11 yr old son, this is a gorgeous multi functions chess set, a very decent chess board for the money it actually looks pretty good a little smaller than I thought it would be, very happy with this product!

Was a gift for my grandson he loves it.

I have been teaching my son how to play chess. I wanted to get him something to help him learn. We hav apps on our iPads that he can play games on but I like that this has real pieces as I want him to be able to visualize the board which (in my opinion) is difficult in 2 dimensions or computerized 3D images. This allows him to have a real board that he can visualize but still keeps him from making wrong moves while giving him an opponent to play. The fact it works with checkers and a few other games is a plus though I doubt it will get used much for that. I only gave it 4 stars because navigation and control of the unit can be somewhat cumbersome.

I purchased the product for a Christmas present for my grandson, obviously is was not opened until he did so on Christmas day. It was disappointing to find that there was one black pawn missing and in its place was an additional black castle. I do understand that it is now beyond the return period, but it would be appreciated if one additional black pawn could be provided in place of the missing one.. Regards, Robert
