Fizik Antares R1 7x9 Braided Rails

Fizik saddles are one of the best saddles out there, especially R1 line. That said, these saddles are expensive, buying this saddle for $67 you have to be prepared for anything.In the description it said - Used - Acceptable - Major scratches, deformities etc. Saddle arrived immaculate with one minor scratch. Only thing that was scratched was box. Signs of wear, but otherwise saddle in great condition.

Saved my sit bones after ruining them on a Selle San Marco RegalE.Update: several thousand miles later, still very happy with saddle. BEWARE: the rails are rough, and can fray your shorts. Apply nail polish to the rails to prevent this.

I bought this after discovering that I've been using the wrong width of saddle for 15 years. I constantly had problems with saddle sores on my old saddle, and after getting my sit bones measured, I found that I needed a wide saddle. Immediately the difference was noticeable, and I'm glad to say that I've not had any sores since.Additionally, I built a new bike around the same time that I bought this, so weight and styling were of importance to me. This is a saddle among the lightest made, and the styling is classy and sharp looking on my bike, on any bike really.I would HIGHLY recommend this saddle for those needing a wide saddle.

One of the carbon rails is slightly loose where it connects to the saddle, which creates little bit of a wiggle when moving on the saddle. Considering the price quality control really dropped the ball.

Product came in a decent time and seemed to be a wonder at first! After about 400 miles on the saddle I noticed a crack in the bottom of the seat. I was super disappointed because its not that cheap of a seat and I’ve seen much lower prices seats last way longer ;/
