It Doesn't Hurt my Eyes!
My Starting Hair: dry, wasted looking dark brown hair The Process: The formula was creamy and easy to apply, and the chemical scent was very mild. I know because I have a strong nose! It sat on my hair for 45 minutes with no irritation nor any scalp itching. I kept it on for that long because of my gray hair framing my face. The Color Result: It turned out exactly they way I like it, dark brown but when the sun hits my hair, omg! the red shows great!. It covered my grays completely. Hair Texture: Afterward, my hair felt silky and healthy. The Fade: After 6 weeks of washing, the color has faded and a recolor or touch up is needed. 🟢 Pros: love the color result, and it doesn't hurt my eyes 🔴 Cons: it does stain towels after coloring hair for couple weeks afterwards. Like the color is being washed away.

The only box dye brand I buy now (been buying 6+ years)
I love changing up my hair, but I'm also very into natural or non toxic products, which is a grey area once you get into hair care. It's hard to find things that actually work without frying your hair. I was surprised by how much this lightened my hair for box dye. Obviously, your results depend on what color you start with, so it won't turn out the same color for everyone. But I will say it does a decent amount of lightening. I have brown blonde hair leaning more towards brown and this took me to BLONDE blonde. I was very impressed. My scalp doesn't burn when I apply it and there's no caustic smell. When I use blonde there's some slight tingling, but none at all with any of the other colors I've tried by this brand. I've been using this brand for more than 6 years, and have no hair damage. People have complemented me on every color I've had by this brand- auburn, copper, brown, ash blonde, ect. and they all assume it's my natural color and are always surprised that it's a dye. I will keep buying this.

Awesome!
I’ve been using this hair color for over 20 years. The color is great, it’s 90% naturally derived and it doesn’t have the harsh chemicals as regular hair color. It doesn’t smell it doesn’t burn my scalp. It covers grays and now they have these new colors that are even more natural looking than just light to dark brown. This color is hust like my natural hair color all the way. And you get conditioner tubes with your hair color. It’s not expensive and it’s perfect for people with sensitive scalp like me.

It Took A Few Attempts to Get On the Right Track...
So my hair has been dyed professionally before and I've always been left with a burning scalp and lots of hair fall afterwards. I have very thick, coarse hair, so I knew I wasn't going to go bald but it was bad enough for me to worry about what effect the dye was having on my body. I recently decided I wanted to change back to a blonder color but, being a grad student, I am on a shoestring budget and didn't want to pay to go to a hairdresser and have highlights done that just grow out within a month anyway. So, I came across this stuff here on Amazon and selected the Wheat Germ Blonde. The first time I used it my hair came out golden-red but only at the roots. So weird. Then I went out and bought a box on the Light Ash Blonde color to try and tone it down. It did work a bit but there was still a bit of orange gold color to my roots. This past time, I went to the store and bought a box each of the Light Ash and the Light Dawn Blonde. I was very scared my hair was going to turn either full blown orange or go platinum. I mixed half of the Light Dawn Blonde and half of the Light Ash Blonde into the squeeze bottle (I just eyeballed it) and crossed my fingers. My hair came out a couple shades blonder, no hint of red or orange, and it has highlights! So, I'm going to keep mixing half Light Ash into any of the colors I use and continue to gradually lighten my hair up. I want it to eventually be a medium colored ash blonde. Also, I noticed the scent of this stuff as being kind of like licorice but with a chemical undertone. Not nearly as yucky as the stuff the salons use, but I found it noticeable when I was applying it. Also, my scalp did burn slightly when using the dye but I didn't have the hair fall like I did with the other salon stuff. I strongly recommend finding a really gentle shampoo and conditioner if your scalp is sensitive. I use the Giovanni 2Chic Avocado and Olive Oil Ultra-Moist Shampoo and Conditioner and they save my hair and scalp from utter destruction. I also use keratin masks once a week to keep my hair from drying out. Here's my advice to other first time users of this product and first time at-home hair dyers: -if your hair turns out orange or red, mix half of one of the ash colors with the shade you want to achieve the next time you dye. Using the Light Ash Blonde by itself didn't have much of a dramatic effect on taking away the orange in my hair, but mixing it with the other blonde shade (Light Dawn Blonde) and then applying that mixture did have a big effect. -make sure you really mix the color before you put it on your hair. The box recommends shaking the bottle for two minutes before applying, I set a timer to make sure I do a full two minutes. Don't let it sit and settle after you have mixed it either, as this seems to mess with how the color turns out. -use the shampoo and cream conditioning treatment provided. Remember to leave the conditioning treatment on for at least the recommended two minutes. This seems to help how the color comes out. Then I followed with my regular Giovanni shampoo and conditioner and left that conditioner on for another couple minutes to really soothe my hair and scalp. -visit the Naturtint website and figure out the closest shade to your natural hair color. These dyes are only supposed to lighten your hair a couple of shades lighter at a time. Mine is somewhere between the 4N Natural Chestnut and the 8A Ash Blonde but the 8N Wheat Germ Blonde shade still turned my hair golden red at the roots when I didn't mix it with the 10A Light Ash Blonde. -don't be scared to use a lighter blonde color than what you want to achieve if you are using it to mix with one of the ash colors. I certainly don't want to be platinum blonde, but the 10N Light Dawn Blonde mixed with the 10A Light Ash Blonde lightened my hair a couple of shades without turning it red or orange and instead left me with lovely natural looking highlights. My hair is still a light brown/dark blonde color after using this mix of colors. -I wouldn't recommend buying hair dye off of the internet sight unseen. It's best to go to the nearest retailer that sells Naturtint and pick out the shade or shades that you like and try them. Once you figure out what shades work best for your hair then you can buy them from Amazon. -I think this hair dye really is made for mixing. With the Light Dawn Blonde and the Light Ash Blonde colors mixed, my hair has natural looking highlights and avoids that tell-tale dyed hair look of monotone color. Overall, I recommend this hair dye. Just don't give up on it if you don't get it right the first time and remember to be gentle to your hair and scalp.

LOVE IT!
I'm big on using clean products - natural, plant-based, very little to no chemicals, cruelty-free. Naturtint meets these requirements. I've been using it for almost a year now and I'm pretty happy with the results. Yes it IS hard to look through all the color options trying to figure out which color suits me the most. The latest one - Black Cherry - ended up being a little darker than I had imagined. But I'm not hating it. Haha. My hair was dark brown with some blonde shades to it. But with the Black Cherry my entire head is now back to 90% black with hints of cherry. It feels more like me (my natural hair color is black) and the cherry makes it look cool. But since this color is a little darker, it got pretty messy in my sink than previous colors. But still easy to clean, so no big deal. And I think they increased the size of the conditioner tube so that's cool! Overall, I'm happy with Naturtint and will continue using it without worrying too much about harsh chemicals damaging my hair.

Quality Hair Color - Easy to Use
Excellent hair color that does not contain ammonia and does not leave a lingering chemical smell. Comes with a tube of conditioner - apply just enough to cover. It must be left on for three minutes before the final rinse. The small tube does last for several shampoos. Love this 2N color. I use Vaseline all around the hairline to keep the skin from staining. I purchased a reusable hair color brush and bowl set from a local beauty supply shop. It takes me about 15 minutes to mix and apply and then I leave it on no longer than 30. I have been using it every 5 weeks for two years and plan to continue. It’s a very good product.

Best blond in the US
Very good quality. Unlike European hair colors this US color is the only one I found that bleaches my dark blond hair (with lots of red in it) very nice golden blond. My hair grows very fast so going to the hairdresser all the time is not an option financially. I’ve tried practically everything. This is ash so it does makes my hair light. It does have golden tones which I don’t mind because it looks better on me than cold colors (although I can get away with them too, but it’s impossible to find a color here that don’t destroy the color, my hair being too dark). I keep buying this one and I always get many compliments. The quality is good, it doesn’t dry my hair at all which is really frizzy. I recommend.

Very gentle on hair
I just used this product for the first and was very impressed!I purchased the mahogany blonde. Naturetint has no ammonia, no ammonia smell and did not burn. My hair feels healthy and shiny. I'm buying another box now. Very good coverage on my grays. I left it on for almost 40 minutes, and no damage on my fine, straight hair

Great hair dye
Great hair dye, have been using only this for years now, also during pregnancy and breastfeeding. It does not smell at all and has most infrefients natural. Never had any problrms. The only disadvantage is that it only lasts around 1 month and then i have to reapply it
