Wrangler Men's 13mwz Cowboy Cut Original Fit Jean

I think it's hard to find a solid pair of jeans today at a reasonable price. Oh, it can be done, but you have to sift through a sea of obviously either too thin or too skimpily cut jeans. Guys who work in jeans, and for our purposes here we'll call them all "cowboys", can tell after a day if a pair of jeans are great or junk. So...Wrangler has built a reputation with these PRA identified jeans and I figured it was high-time to find out where I weighed in as just about all my Lee jeans which have been my staple for the last ten years fail the same way. The top left corner of the right back pocket doesn't come unsewn, but the entire denim starts to tear. Oh, did I mention it always happens within a year and it ain't cause I wear 'em always either as I usually have about half a dozen rotated pairs. Sorry, but Lee has lost my respect so time to try these. First, I notice the denim is heavier and that is very good. Second, the weave is kind of special. It reminds me of the early 70's Sedgefield denim weave. It's plain tougher while being more flexible making break-in a breeze. Love the rivets. I'll get back to you when this pair's right-hand back pocket fails like the Lees (don't hold your breath cause I think that would be never). The fit is what I'd expected. The waist isn't oversized so it's snug, but the seat is quite ample and the fly is taller than most in keeping with the ample room in the butt, etc. The length was as ordered, not shorted or elongated, spot-on. Finally, I ordered these in khaki and I love the color and get compliments on them. I can not say about that cute company somewhere out of Duluth that likens their denim to a hose, but this is all and more any man needs and it is priced more than fair. I am now officially sold on Wrangler Pro Rodeo Association jeans.

My favorite jean, i bought these about 2 months ago along side my levis 501 stf to compare and contrast, and i will say, after about 2 months of alternating, these jeans are so much nicer than the levis, they fit a little snug at first since i lift and have bigger legs but they will stretch out after break in, i want to say that they are definitely wider at the seet waist hips and thighs than levis stf which allows for better movement. Lastly i want to talk about fabric, these are smoother and have a better feel overall, the fabric is pretty substantial and will take more beatings than the levis, in my opinion, if you work in a trade that requires more durable cloths go with wranglers, if you work in an office, go with wranglers, if you have bigger legs, wranglers, if you dont wanna worry about shrinkage, wranglers. Only go with levis if you want a lighter fabric that will breath better and want a darker indigo color.

Wrangler Jeans have always been a good product .. sturdy, well made and they fit properly.

I just purchased more because they are like $8 cheaper than anywhere else. Wrangler has so many different styles and fits that you need to know what you need to get. Ok example Ariat M4 I wear 42x32, on cinch black label same 40x32. Wrangler 20x relaxed 40x32, on the wrangler 13MWZ pre-washed indigo, stoned washed tan and all other washes 44x32 these don’t shrink much. For the wrangler 13MWZ rigid indigo 46x32 they do shrink but not that much. So rigids after the initial treatment they shrink to a 45x31 the only thing if you know the original cowboy cut these are high rise jeans so they go higher up on the waist, the thighs are relaxed but not straight leg, they stack on boots(depending on the stack you want that is how long you get them) I do like stacked jeans but not a lot of material. Because of the larger size I get on these jeans the waist is fine, the length is fine but the thighs feel a little more loose, but I have tried the 44x32 and they feel tight after I shrink and break them in. They are easy to break in for the first wear, this is what I do. Flip the jeans inside out( this is the only way you should be washing jeans)I wash them on the heavy cycle with hot water, then dry them in dryer on hot cycle. Get them out throw them in the washer again same hot cycle, get them out dry again in hot cycle. The first two rounds no laundry detergent the 3 round I add detergent and a dryer sheet on the dryer, I don’t complete the last dryer cycle I take them out after 10 minutes and air dry them. After you do this they are way softer they have shrunk enough and fit way better. So if you want a tighter fit go with your regular size, if you like a little space go up one size. They will shrink just a bit more after that but it is not very noticeable. Ok now that they are ready, wear them a couple of times before you wash them again if they start to smell air them out. If you don’t stink them up go as many wears as you can. Next time you need to wash them flip them inside out zipped them up button them up throw them in the delicate cycle with cold water setting with very little detergent try not to use laundry softener. Take them out of washer and air dry them inside your house, try not to sun dry. If you need to use dryer on an emergency use the lowest setting possible. They last a while and better if you have several pairs on rotation I always have 5-6 pairs on rotation so they don’t get washed often once they need washing I get another 5-6 pairs an start rotation on those. I have pairs that are pretty old. You dye these pants if you need to but the natural worn use gives them personality.

These are well made, heavy jeans. If you catch them on sale they’re a great price as well. Fit is true to size.

It feels good to finally get my hands on wranglers again. They always fit better on me than any other jeans. Con: 13mwz are too baggy for me (meant for guys with a thicker build). Pro: These would be GREAT work jeans due to the thickness of the jean and freedom of movement (I was able to do the splits in them). They are true to size I believe (I haven't washed them in hot water 3x as directed yet). IMPORTANT: Wranglers sit high on the waist, so if you were like a 32 low rise jeans and have a little bit of a belly, you have to size up or else they are going to fit tight. I will buy them in other colors if the prices go down, and because of my build, (6ft 1in at 190lbs), I have to stick with the slim fit.

34-34 Gonna give few days but probably needed next size up in waist also tag for washing is different from any of my other wranglers that say wash in cold and this pair say wash hot first 3 times glad I washed them in cold probably would’ve shrank and I’d never gotten them on

I’ve wore Wrangler jeans my entire life, the good ones not Walmart cheap end. These jeans I purchased are worse I’ve ever bought. Day one rip full length of back pocket right at pocket seam. Crappy product for expensive price

Good jeans, but arrived not in a box, so if I wasn't home they would be out in elements and for everyone to see.
