This camera is amazing for the money. Had some technical issues setting it up and Lorex customer support answered quickly and solved the problem after some troubleshooting. Camera interface could use a firmware update.

I added this to the back corner of my house and it is a beast!!! It is a bit bigger physically than I thought it might be, my fault the dimensions in the description at correct. The zoom is crazy, digital zoom is turned off by default, you can easily read license plate for 400 feet away. The IR light compared to my other Lorax cameras is like a flood light, easily 200 feet brightly lit. Panning around it is pretty quiet and fast. Controlling it from the phone app is doable but a pain, running it from the console is a lot nicer. It is a really nice camera with really good picture quality for a PTZ camera however it does come with a cost. Maybe not for residential installs but the 900 series NVR runs it powered from the unity just fine, I am using 150 ft of ethernet cable. I hope it lasts 10 years for the price of the camera.

I installed the Lorex LNZ44P12B on the front balcony of my home to provide a sweeping view of the front area of my property 24/7. It high definition optics is impressive I can view 200 yards down my street from my house, and keep watch of my neighbors properties as well. The night vision is sweet, I spotted two small rats running along the base of my front wall! The Lorex LNZ44P12B can be programmed to do custom surveillance scans called, and manually controlling it is done with a mouse. Using the the PTZ remotely using the Lorex Home apps is easy but not precise. The only complaint I have is that it doesn't have Auto tracking to use with its motion detect abilities. Overall highly recommend.

This thing is incredible! Worth it’s weight in gold. The 2k resolution is more than adequate when coupled with the zoom function. I have this thing mounted 20 ft in the air and can zoom to the maximum and clearly determine color and type of a vehicle over 3 miles away during the day. At night picture is incredible too, the infrared lights are transitional which move from flood to spot as you zoom in and out and illuminate very well and quite far. Easy to operate if you read the manual.
