It's hard to find a decent Surveyors vest with pockets that are big enough to hold things a modern Surveyor uses. Then to have the pockets stay closed. Has many pockets for paint, iPad mini, field book and a pencil holder that you can actually slide a mechanical pencil into easily without getting hung up on the fabric. It is heavier than a safety vest and thus holds mor heat.

Fits big but other than that it pretty good. Like the zipper, like the mesh little warmer than I thought.

Make a size small

This vest rocks. Frequently I carry tools (iPad, Nikon, laser level, clipboard, etc.) up and down 30' ladders all day long. This is the first vest that lets me safely carry a D850, an iPad and a metal clipboard up and down a ladder without resorting to a backpack or a pail + haul rope. Lots of competent pockets makes it easy to configure for different workflows.Less breathable than cheaper mesh vests but much better made. My only ding is for having only a zipper, because zippers fail and often become hard to initiate; at this very high price there should also be 3-5 snaps with the zipper. Worth the very high cost for someone doing supervisory work. For workers, using safety T-shirts or frequently replacing lighter $15 vests is probably preferable.

Reflective does well. Has pockets and places for radio or whatever you carry. Can’t tell I’m wearing it most time and it doesn’t cost much.
