The Unit was not working
The Charge Controller did not work from day one. Being from a reputed company, Luminous, I had not bothered to read the reviews, and that was a big mistake. On facing a problem I read the reviews and was shocked to find most reviews complained of a product that did not work. Further some reviews mentioned that Luminous did not take responsibility for the Guarantee but asked the buyer to contact the seller. Coming to the specific problem, on connecting the Panel none of the lights lit up as required. On checking with a Voltmeter the input voltage from the Panel was detected. However no output was detected at any of the other sets of terminals - not at the battery connectors, not at the ones indicated for light, and not at the ones with a fan symbol. A rectangular rubber piece was found taped to the bottom, with no indication to its purpose on the box, the piece or in the Instruction Manual. Since I had not preserved the original Amazon packing I could not return the product.

It doesn't have cutoff
User reviews after 30 months or 2.5 yearsIt still works give its used only around 10 times a month. The major con is that there isn't any cutoff so once the sunlight is low the battery seems to loose charge. I have to literally place an alarm at 3pm just to make sure that I disconnected the solar panel to save battery charge also seems to loose charge when battery is connected without solar.
