Yes. And has a switch to disable it as well.

Can these be wired for two subs and only use one remote sub control?

I don't believe so. The plug itself is made specifically for the specific woofer itself with a unique type of plug. Other than that the woofer is quite impressive.

Do i need an amp installation kit for this

No, this setup is very complete. One note is that if you use the RCA connection, make sure it is working from the stereo head or the unit will not power up.
