Very durable jerrycan perfect for campouts
This jerry can was surprisingly high quality. I was expecting something like the basic red gas can in my garage, but this is much more thick and much higher quality. The plastic has a nice texture and is a strong thickness. I took a picture of the top peering into the inside, if you look closely you might be able to tell that the can is reinforced in the center. Thats to keep the can from expanding when over pressurized. It makes the can super durable though. My kid was standing on it and it was no problem at all. The pump handle is a surprisingly smooth plastic. I guess to make it more comfortable when you're pumping. It glides easily. I didn't have any problems with it except I had skipped reading an instruction and forgot to remove a cover from the bottom of the filter. So at first it wasn't pumping water, but that was an obvious fix. Then just a few quick pumps and water was streaming out. Instructions told me to pump water through it a few times before drinking. BE SURE TO DO THIS. The first water to go through a brand new filter always has some stuff wash out. But once I ran some water through the filter and let it clear out, it was crystal clear water ready to drink. The filter has two parts that just screw together. The smaller part of the filter needs replacing sooner which is why. Every 250 gallons I believe. The other lasts a lot longer. I think 10,000 but don't quote me on that. Either way I look forward to this lasting me a long time. The can was easy to dry, and store. It was perfect. For the quality of can, filter and pump this thing is great! Looking forward to taking it on more campouts. Another bonus was how the lids are on top, so I don't have any worries about this leaking in my car. Very impressed

Great!
I got this to fit a dual purpose for both camping and a natural disaster. I was pleasantly surprised that it was well packaged for a durable jerry can. It has a simple yet functional design. The unfiltered water goes in, you pressurize the can, and then dispense your water. I like that fact that the water filter has 10,000 gallons for the standard UF hollow fiber module and 250 gallons for the activated carbon. The nice thing about these quantities is you don’t have to worry about being stingy with your water usage (limit it only to drinking water). You could use it for rinsing dishes if you wanted. It will work perfect for car camping in remote areas were potable water is not accessible, but a creek or stream is running past your campsite. It has a passive usage when not camping as a backup for a natural disaster. Since I live in the shadow of both volcanos and in an earthquake prone area it is not unreasonable to think that one of these two natural disasters could leave me without running water. Since I have a water source on my property all I needed was a way to filter it, and now I do.I like that fact that it is the right size if you have to carry it for any distance to keep you from making multiple trips back and forth from the stream. It hits the mark for simplicity, usability, and functionality.

DO NOT BUY!!!!
Do not buy this !!!!!This thing is straight garbage!!!I have a Lifesaver jerry can that I keep in my truck and use on a daily basis as the water that we have will leave an orange residue on dog water bowels, showers and tubs. After watching some reviews and reading a bunch, I thought, this is cheaper and would be perfect for the house!Boy was I wrong!!! After it was delivered I followed the instructions to the letter on set up( wait what ??? A guy following the instructions !!!! Impossible!!!, I did)So after doing the rinse and soak time for the filter. It was time to run 8 gallons through it per the instructions. After 5 pumps on the pump and the valve open I heard an air leak at the pump threads I tightened it, it was still hissing like a mad rattler. Then I noticed it leaking from the top of the on / off valve.Strike 2!!!!I also noticed that after 5-6 pumps the can (which feels like cheap plastics) started to bulge .Something I've never had happen on my Lifesaver can.Called Amazon and got a full refundSave your money and buy a Lifesaver that's what I did as soon as I got off the phone with customer service. Should have gone with my gut instinct and saved myself the hassel and just spent the money. It is worth it!

Really a 4.5...I really like it, but the spigot valve is very touchy
I have used this camping several times when 4WDriving. Loves: LOVE the pressure pump, love the filters (carbon and main sediment one - water tastes great), love the 4 gallon size and its proportions (not too heavy to lug around), love the handle - sturdy and great for tethering, love the excess side cabins to hold extra carbon filters. Not so loves: A bit pricey - but it has proven its durability, so I think it will pay for itself in the long run. The only dislike: The slightest touch - I mean the brush of a jacket being tossed on top of it in the back seat - opens the spigot and drizzles a gallon of water on your back seat. Even just jostling on a particularly rocky trail nudged it the slightest, letting water trickle out. In the absence of a simple spigot locking mechanism, I recommend you release all pressure a couple of times as you gain elevation to ensure the easy/smooth water release has no water to send out if someone breathes on it :-). A camping champion - but manage the beast in your vehicle!

Very well constructed and a solid product!
This Jerry can is fantastic, I bought it mostly for overlanding trips. Assembly was pretty easy, But, remember to take the rubber seals off the bottom of the filter, I struggled to get water to come out at first because I missed the seal on the charcoal filter. This can is very well built and should last longer than I do. The water taste is good as far as I'm concerned and it's easy to clean after a trip. I like the 4 gallon size as well as it's not too heavy, but can hold plenty of water between fill-ups.
