While this is a little pricey, this magnifying glass works well and looks marvellous. It is ideal for a Sherlock Holmes fan like me and increasingly practical as I get older. I am highly satisfied with this product.

Surprisingly good quality, lovely weight, and other half thought I’d purchased an antique.Now I can read barcodes, and tiny instructions on the back of labels!

I almost returned this as it was not the ten times magnification as claimed. I'm glad I didn't as times ten is way too much for everyday use. Think about it. A jewelers loupe is about times ten and you have to get very close to whatever it is you are looking at. I'd say that this is 2X at best. That may not seem like much, but in practical terms, it's ideal. Say you're looking at a map or a stamp maybe, or some small newspaper print, you don't need too much magnification. It lost a star due to the wild claim. For my purposes anything above 2.5X would have been too much.It is very nice looking and very well made and robust.

This was superb my hubby likes magnifying glasses, each to their own, this Is beautiful, feels lovely in the handle, it's even gorgeous to look at and the presentation box was so lovely id expect to pay much more, couldn't be happier. Many thanks

This MSLAN magnifying glass has been a great purchase for me. Really well made and of good materials. From the handle to the lens it has a lovely antique feel to it plus the magnification ratio is spot on. The excellent price belies its quality which prompts me to fully endorse this as an item for work, home or even a present for a friend or loved one. Well done on this one Amazon.

Yes, the lense was smeared but the grease came off through carefully using some washing liquid. But it the lense is also is quite thick as other reviewers have said and protrudes slightly beyond the holding rim so it can be damaged every time you lay it flat. This is a real problem. The rim should have been broader to protect the lense adequately when you lay it flat. Otherwise it looks good and is well made of solid materials
