Old School Look
I was looking for something with a little padding that kept a vintage look to the bike. I’m old so I don’t plan on riding for long periods of time or doing anything too crazy. I didn’t like the thought of sitting on a hard plastic seat with no padding other than my cheeks. That was fine 30+ years ago but I needed at least a little pad on the seat without losing the vintage look of the bike and this seat was the look I was after.

Saddle/Seat
I purchased this to replace my hard plastic seat that came on my bmx bike as well as taking off the padded gel seat cushion thing , to put on this seat. My butt is not quite as sore now. I have another new seat to install if needed. I will continue to use this seat with the gel cushion cover thing for a bit as I have not ridden the bike much since I installed it.
