Question 1

Can lx4 be used in addition to a performance dose of edt to increase lubricity on a regular basis, and if so, what is the treat rate for 33 gallons?

Accepted Answer

Hot Shot's Secret LX4 Lubricity Extreme is designed to improve the lubricity of diesel and gasoline fuel, providing protection against wear and damage to fuel pumps and injectors. It can be used in addition to a performance dose of EDT to further increase lubricity on a regular basis.

The treat rate for LX4 depends on the size of the fuel tank. For a 33-gallon tank, the recommended treat rate is 2 ounces of LX4 per tank. Simply pour the recommended amount of LX4 into the fuel tank before adding fuel. Be sure to shake the bottle well before use to ensure even distribution of the product.

It's important to note that LX4 is not a substitute for EDT, which is designed to clean and maintain the fuel system. While LX4 can improve fuel lubricity, EDT is still necessary to keep the fuel system clean and operating efficiently. Therefore, it's recommended to use both products in conjunction with each other for optimal fuel system performance.

Question 2

does this clean at the same time like optilube? i dont see it stating that anywhere on their website or amazon

never heard of optilube so i could not say, all i can say is hotshot is by far the best diesel additive i have ever used, tryed many in the past no comparision to hot shot, im sure it helps to clean the fuel system, i get way more power when i use it, so its put in everytime i fill up.
