Explosive fun!
I enjoy this book so much! Liz Peters' writing itself makes me smile, and adding on top of that all the wisdom and overall positivity makes this book a wonderful read. I'm still regularly using many of the techniques taught in this book, so do yourself a favor and get it!

Game changer
I've read a lot of leadership and management books. Some are dry and overly theoretical, others are written by people with big egos who have little of value to add. You don't always know what you're getting in advance. This book by Liz Peters hits the spot and is outstanding on a number of levels:It's super accessible - it's generously written, upbeat, confidence-instilling and practical. I was hooked within the first few lines and it feels fresh throughout. It's cleverly underpinned with theory, and the bibliography is thorough. You very much feel like Peters has done the work for you, so you can sit back and relax. It makes a difference: The arguments and approaches are convincing, and the exercises and suggestions really work, and I've been able to note improvements in my own performance very quickly. I'm one of those people who are regularly called upon to speak in front of others. I do it, but it's quite a big step up sometimes. I love the quote in the book "Don't compare your insides with other people's outsides!" Love it.I highly recommend this to anyone who has to communicate with other people, whether or not in a work capacity. It's genuine, easy to read but packed with value and practicality. I went into a leadership and management training centre recently and noticed it was up on the featured books list. I'm not surprised.

Tolles Buch! Great book!
Inspiring, full of good tips, and based on science (which is always good). I've been reading it slowly to savour it and be able to practice the tips it gives, and I'm enjoying it a lot. I can recommend it to anyone that wants to get rid of the idea that courage is just reserved for some people. It's all practice, and this book gives the necessary information and tips to start practising in your daily life, so that when something big comes up you're ready. Also, I like the way the author writes, it's familiar and with good sense of humor.I actually bought it again after a couple of weeks, while I was reading it, to give it to a friend as a present!

Insightful, practical and entertaining.
I work in Learning and Development so I’ve read my fair share of personal development and communication books. Let’s face it there are heaps out there and not all of them are great! This one however is excellent. I think there are three key reasons this book has become one of my favourites:1. There’s actually stuff to learn here. The author clearly knows her stuff and presents new and insightful ideas throughout.2. It’s super practical. This book isn’t just theoretical, it gives real world advice to help the reader speak up and make an impact.3. It’s brilliantly written and hugely entertaining. When I first received the book I opened it up randomly to see what I’d find. What I found was an MC Hammer (mis)quote. What’s not to love about that?!
