Rca connections are firm!
Five Stars - Unbeatable Value for Great Performance! I recently purchased a Monoprice RCA cable for connecting my DSP to my amplifiers and I am absolutely blown away by the quality you get for such an incredibly low price. Seriously, I was expecting something flimsy, but these cables are surprisingly well-built. The connectors feel solid and fit snugly, ensuring a secure connection. More importantly the price nd quality is fantastic! I haven't noticed any degradation in the audio signal, no added hum or static โ just clean, clear sound. If you need a reliable RCA cable without breaking the bank, look no further than Monoprice. These cables prove that you don't have to spend a fortune to get great performance. I'll definitely be buying more Monoprice cables in the future for my other audio/video needs. Highly recommended!

Durable with great shielding
These cables are extremely stiff but that's because of the extremely heavy duty shielding. I get almost no static or feedback when using these cables. As far as the connections not staying on, you can use pliers to gently compress the outer conductors so that they fit more tightly. They will go on very, very tight and stay on. The outer conductors are thick and difficult to bend, once you adjust them to your liking they will stay that way. As far as cable stiffness, you can also gently bend the cable to suit your needs. It will retain that shape. For the price, these cables are extremely high quality. I actually find that they work better than more expensive cables I have from boutique brands. I will use these going forward.

Very good quality for the price
The Monoprice 1.5ft RCA cable is just what I needed! Itโs well-made, with solid connectors and good shielding. Perfect for connecting my Bluetooth audio adapter to my stereo. The length is just right, and the quality feels premium without being bulky. Great value for a reliable, high-quality cable!

Good cables for the price
Got one of the 1.5' cables today. As most have described the cable is stiff but that shouldn't be an issue if you are connecting a receiver to a component on top of it or maybe one above that. As long as you don't have a depth issue because the cable will stick out a little ways if the inputs on the component connected is directly above it. As for the connectors, they appear to be nice. 3 of the 4 fit good. Not too loose or tight. But one of them was a little too loose. Tried to squeeze it shut with my fingers and that didn't work so I used a pliers and lightly squeezed on it which tightened it up. Was maybe a little too tight but was still able to get it on. So better that is a little loose than too tight because you can tighten them up, just have to be very careful. As for sound quality. I didn't A/B test it with another cable but the sound was as good as I think I could get with an analog cable. With all the complaints about the connectors being too loose or too tight you would think they would do a little more quality control. The stiffness issue shouldn't be a problem if you use the right length of cable. And I recommend separating the cables so you have 2 and then the cables can be moved around easier. Going to order another one for different component.

Super heavy, great quality
I've purchased Monoprice before and have always been very pleased. They make a great product. I purchased these for a short, high quality run. The cables are remarkably heavy and thicker than you'd expect due to the excellent insulation. They're very flexible, but feel like I can use it as a dog leash. That's not meant to be bad, I'm just impressed! The sound quality is terrific with no hum or extraneous sounds. One thing that a few other reviewers remarked on is that the connections are remarkably tight. That's generally a good thing but they are R E A L L Y T I G H T. They surely won't come off on their own, and it's even difficult to pull them off with your fingers. As long as you are not frequently swapping cables they are fine...just something to note. I'm overall very pleased and impressed with the quality!

Thick, solid cable
But it's an actual coax, with low capacitance of about 60pF/m (my meter is not accurate enough to tell exactly) and thick shielding. So it would probably even be a pretty good phono cable. It doesn't pick up any noise capacitively, even with high input impedance of 100kฮฉ that my stereo happens to have, and thus it tended to pick up mains hum when the source was turned off on other cables. But again, this is a very thick and stiff cable. Still it is a far better option for devices that get moved around (like a headphone amp) or sit close to the wall and have the cable doing a sharp turn than the Monoprice triple RCA video cable. It is literally the same cable, but without video and with much better plugs (that other reviewers say may be too thick for some gear, but luckily not for any of mine).

Good cables but very inconsistent connectors sizes
Let me start by saying that the cables are well made and sturdy. They give a nice clean look behind my home audio system instead of a rats nest of wires like those cheap RCA cables that come with alot of components. Now the problem i have is how absolutely inconsistent the size of the actual connectors can be. I bought one of these to replace a bad cable and when putting it on noticed it was a pretty firm fit but it did go on my device without too much effort. After a couple weeks I decided to replace all my old cables with these. I bought 3 1.5 foot cables and a 6 foot cable. Not one of them fit correctly. Most of the connectors were too small, meaning I had to get some non marring pliers and gently try to bend the shroud of the connectors to get them to go on to the inputs. Some of the other connectors were too big and wouldnt fit securely. At the end of the day I didn't want to deal with returning them and just made it work but it was disappointing to see that every single cable had some sort of size issue. Just be aware of this when considering these cables.

Huge improvement in stereo sound, over original interconnect
This little cable miraculously improved the sound of my whole stereo system! I am still in shock after over a month from installing it as the interconnect between CD player and preamplifier. I have an "entry level high-end" stereo system w/ good KEF speakers and ADCOM electronics. I've had it for a long time and, regrettably, used the original interconnects that came with my electronics. I held the wrong opinion that the kind of cable shouldn't matter much for sound quality, provided the cable is not too long, and given that voltages are not too small and frequencies not too high. I know that cables are not ideal conductors, that they have parasitic resistances and capacitances, and so they do distort signals, but I had assumed the bottom line difference would be negligible. This wrong theory had additional support in the fact that market exists for cables more expensive than cars, what I have always considered BS, and extremely poor ROI. A series of events convinced me otherwise. It started with a great experience connecting my Fiio X5 mobile FLAC player to a car's AUX input using another short and thick Monoprice cable. Then I repeated the experience at home to find that Fiio w/ Monoprice cable sounded better than my CD! At first I thought the difference can be attributed to Fiio's more modern and better DAC. Then I bought the reviewed cable as a cheap experiment and I couldn't and still can't believe my ears! Now finally I have the coveted 3D soundstage. Sound gained "precision" (my layman's term) chaning the stereo imaging dramatically. This can be compared to observing the world around either through blurry glasses/binoculars OR sharp and clean ones. On top of all that, the cable is cheap: a Venti Latte at Starbucks would be more expensive :-) I understand now that interconnects DO make a decisive difference, and that the original cable that came with my ADCOM electronics was intended to be a throwaway: a mediocre cable just to make things work initially, and be quickly replaced. That the difference can be so big is still a shock to me. And, in all likelihood, you do not need to spend big bucks on "designer" cables. Can't imagine more improvement from where my stereo is at now, but who knows... Very highly recommended but your mileage my vary based on the rest of your equipment. In my case, the CD to preamp interconnect turned out to be the weakest link bringing the sound of the whole system down. At this price point, however, it is not an expensive experiment.
