This is a great hat at a reasonable price. Nice and study and very piratey. Be aware that it is designed for a pretty large head, so it your head is small, it probably won't stay on. Also, if you are going to a pirate event, don't be surprised if you find others with the same hat, because it really is the best deal out there!

Too big
It's cute and looks good while being light weight for the hotter faires. But it is not a women's hat. It's huge! If you have big hair or a large head this is the hat for you!

Expensive for what you get
After reading the reviews about this product, I knew that the product description made the item sound more glorified than it actually is, so I wasn't expecting much... and my instincts were right.The price is very expensive for what you get - it's basically a cardboard hat.I will say that it looks great for costume purposes, but you're definitely getting less than what you pay for.The fit is going to depend on your head size and shape. I have a smaller head (21 inch), and the hat was extremely loose on me. My husband has a larger head (23 inch), and it fit solidly. The hole where your head goes is a simple round circle so it is what it is - if you have a smaller head, you can put a bandana underneath to hold it in place.Overall, looks good for a costume but should've been priced at half the cost.
