A sturdy, bright flashlight with an excellent beam.
At 178 lumens on its higher setting, this second generation Pelican 2350 is very bright for a light powered by a single AA battery. The light pattern is well apportioned between a wide central hot spot and generous spill. The tint on the light emitted is neither blue, nor purple, nor yellow, nor green. It is snow white, the color tint I prefer. I power this flashlight using a Panasonic Eneloop Pro rechargeable NiMH battery. During a trial run, I kept the light on its higher setting and discerned a modest drop in brightness after about 20 minutes. Turning the light off then back on quickly, the Pelican 2350 came back on a full brightness. I did this 3 or 4 times. The battery was exhausted after a total run time of about 1 hour and 45 minutes. The Pelican 2350 is larger and heavier than some other 1xAA flashlights, but the metal is thicker and the light feels quite solid in the hand. The tail cap has about 7 threads, more than some of my other lights. The head is permanently attached. The battery tube has excellent knurling which provides a good grip without being too sharp. The pocket clip is located in a position which leaves more of the tail cap sticking out of a pocket than I prefer so I removed the clip and just carry the light in my shirt pocket.

The Best!
I have been using this flashlight for 10 years. As a diesel mechanic doing the inspections, it was fantastic with the adequate amount of light to see everything yet small enough to keep in my pocket. It only takes one AA battery that lasts an hour on bright. And even longer on low. As soon as I walked into work, I would grab it out of my toolbox the first thing. I never had a problem with mine. Some other folks had a few minor issues, and it ended up being because they let it get corroded and filthy. I just used some brake cleaner and washed it out around the switch in the back of the flashlight and I used a small brush to get into the battery well. Wala back in business! I have two of them that are over 10 years old and they are with an arms reach of me constantly. It will be the best flashlight you ever purchase for size.

Perfect for everyday carry
This is the review for the 2350 and the 1910 which are my all time favorite carries. They are both bright, last a while and take the common household battery. The 2350 takes one AA and the 1910 takes one AAA. Kind of an inconvenience dealing with anything more than one battery just for a carry light. Beats having to look for and pay for the price of the Cr123 for some of the other smaller carry pelican lights. These are a must have for anyone. And the prices are right for the quality you’re getting.

Great product
Love the flashlight. I programmed it to go on low first and then high Programmed the strobe out of the equation. Not the brightest but bright enough for being powered off of one AA battery which is a great feature. The battery life on this model is very very good. Excellent value for the cost.

Mvp of flashlights
Lovely compact pack flash light powered by single AA battery. Unscrew the top to release and replace battery. I’d like to report back on battery life after a few weeks with this unit. I’d like to replace all my rechargeable units with these if the battery life proves durable. It has multiple light settings from strobe to bright. Solid build from Pelican. My trusty go to light with a clip for you hips.

Great price, great little light!
This Pelican light is well worth it. 2 brightness settings plus a strobe. Can't go wrong for the price and it uses a AA battery which is cheap. It is a great EDC light. Small, bright, tail end push on/off/temporary on button, and a pocket clip. I might be buying another Pelican light soon!

Great light, well made and bright light
I use this light when I take the dog out for her walk in the mornings before sunrise. It's a great size because I can fit it easily in my hand or (because it's small and light enough) put in my pocket. Also pleasantly surprised by the brightness of this flashlight and the Pelican guarantee can't be beat!
