Reliable Iron Pill
I have had problems donating plasma and I knew I needed something to get my iron up since it has always been lower than the acceptable 38 hematocrit level. What I liked about this is I could take this before bed with no side effects and then again in the morning. It did take, as online said it would, approximately 3 weeks to raise the level because I tried after 1 week and my hematocrit was 35 and had to wait on donating. I take a off brand of 5 Hour Energy, and it is true that caffeine can mess with iron absorption so I wake up & take this pill on an empty stomach and wait 2 hours minimum before taking any caffeine. On donating days I don't touch caffeine until after donating. Here's some additional advice: for extra absorption take vitamin A and B12 with this pill and DON'T TAKE CALCIUM UNTIL MINIMUM 2 HOURS LATER (same suggestion when eating meals to absorb iron). You can also cook on cast iron pans to make more iron rich food but it didn't seem to work as well as these pills. I take 1 in the morning and 1 at night everyday on an empty stomach. On donating days I wake up and eat an iron rich breakfast of a 2 egg omelet with no cheese (remember no calcium!) with mixed in tomatoes, red peppers, and broccoli. Then an hour and a half when I'm leaving my home to go donate I take 2-3 of these pills and my hematocrit was 39! I strongly suggest testing any new iron pills you buy by trying during the day to see how your body reacts. I bought a different iron pill and a liquid iron, had them both on an empty stomach before going to bed, and my heart raced all night! All I know is these pills do not do that to me plus there's vitamin c for extra absorption so I just got done buying some more. I also take as many as I do because I fast and then eat on my donation days and it does drop my already low iron even lower so I need more, but PLEASE don't just take as many as I am taking if you're unsure or are not getting your hematocrit tested because you don't want iron overload.

Easy on the belly
I've been using this iron for three months now. I waited to write a review on purpose. I've always been anemic and have always had stomach issues with iron. Not this one! My doctor recommended this specific iron and it's been great! Zero side effects.

Worked So Well That I Got Iron Toxicity
I’ve been iron deficient my whole life but never thought it was anything bad or serious until I read about the problems it can cause long-term or to a baby if pregnant. So I freaked out and bought the highest dosage and absorption percentage (these pills) because I thought I needed to catch up on all of the years that I’ve been deficient. Well, after taking it twice (once on Monday, once on Wednesday) I felt really weird. I thought I caught Cov!d-19 though so I took the iron again on that Friday. After that is when I got iron toxicity. I couldn’t put my head horizontally without wanting to throw up, moving positions in bed would cause pain and other GI symptoms occured. I’m petite and took too high of a dosage for my height and weight (5’3 & 110 lbs) but that’s my fault! Just goes to show that these pills do their job and work fast!

So far hopeful
Its only day 1 but I took the pill at 11 am followed by an apple sauce....I have severe anemia and go for infusions of venofer every 3-6 months for 5 weeks in a row ....besides them being inconvenient they can make you so sick I mean like dealthy ill I been doing them a while so I know my sweet spot and they run each one for 45 kins and I drink so much water and gatoriad ...anyways when my numbers drop to next to nothing I cant function I can hold a thought form a sentence I wake up wanting to stay in bed and get off work and wanna go straight to bed . . I also have trouble concentrating and I suffer from chronic migraine( seperate issue but related) as I said today is my first day and im hopefully I haven't had any horrific tummy troubles just my normal stuff... so once I see my oncologist 2maro ill let her know that im trying these as long as I can tolerate it....my options for treating my anemia are hysterectomy or hrt and im high risk so not a candidate. It sucks but I know other people suffer and if this can make even a small difference then its worth its weight in gold....ill update after my first month
