Perfect as a worktop compost bin/tin!
Unlike most of the other reviewers on here, I didn't actually want this tin for dishwasher tablets. I wanted it as a little compact lidded compost tin to keep in the kitchen.I didn't want a round tin (not space efficient) and most of the compost tins tend to be either round, too large, or look unappealingly like a mini dustbin on the worktop! I'm not a fan either of having name labels on tins, so this looked like the perfect solution for me, for the following reasons...- it's the perfect size for the kitchen and perfectly adequate for daily trips to the garden composter (when it's not raining or dark outside);- the reverse side is plain... perfect if you want it for another use than dishwasher tablets and/or, like me, simply prefer it without any lettering;- it's metal (so it'll be easily recyclable when it reaches the end of its life.. I avoid plastic like the plague whenever I can);and- and it has a well-fitting lid to keep flies away.It also happens to match our nearby Nespresso coffee machine really well! (It's a barely noticeably lighter shade of cream.)If anyone else prefers no lettering, it's hopefully helpful to know that the reverse side IS plain. However, do be aware that the seam, or join, of the body of the tin is positioned in one corner to the right of the plain side, which will show (not terribly noticeably) on the right hand side of the tin, if you do have the plain side showing as the front. I've included photos to show what I mean - the image of the tin on our window sill shows it turned sideways in this way, allowing only plain sides showing and with the corner where the join is, being against the window, ie out of view. (I hope that makes sense but should be clear from the photos of the tin in two different positions/orientations.)I've also shown the tin near our Nespresso machine, in case anyone else is wanting to gauge the shade of cream or match it with one of these, as they're a popular coffee maker and colour. In terms of size, I found this to be perfect... it's big enough to fit in a family meal's carrot peelings and cauliflower leaves and base, without being unnecessarily large or impractically small. Also, rather than throwing empty kitchen/toilet rolls straight in the composter, I'm cutting them open to just give a lining to the base of the tin, to a) avoid peelings getting stuck to the base, b) make it easier to wash up and c) just to give the inside enamel some protection from being in contact with acidic peelings which might, over time, affect the inside coating of paint. Finally, after reading other reviews, I was a little concerned that the tin might have had any paint blemishes or dents, but it's absolutely fine.

Excellent
Love this! - bags of dishwasher tablets taking up room in the cupboard under the sink are now proudly displayed on the windowsill above the sink with my other bits and bobs... easily hold 100 or more tablets and unlike other reviewers, I'm afraid that I was quite pleasantly surprised at how big this container was?! It arrived well packed, in perfect condition, and looks good quality, made to last.... who knows, my husband might even work out now with this clever labelling, where the dishwasher tablets are! - he might even find the dishwasher!

Attractive and large
I bought a few of the Kitchen Craft storage items but there was not a dishwasher table one (and I do love labels!). I bought this to complement them and am not disappointed. It is quite large and I put two packs of dishwasher tablets in which no way fills it.
