Recently purchased the MAXSafes Gun Safe Dehumidifier Rod for my gun safe. While installing, I broke one of the mounting clips. MaxSafes quickly sent me 2 new mounting clips. This is being used in two steel Stack-On gun cabinets I liked this in almost every category except for the plastic mounting brackets. I bought one for each gun cabinet. The dehumidifying rod I installed yesterday was without any issues. The one I installed today I managed to break BOTH of its mounting brackets. I have no idea where to get replacements. If they had made the brackets a little beefier, not only would I have not broken two of them, I'd have been comfortable using the spare nuts and bolts that came with the Stack-Ons in place of the small screws that were included with the dehumidifers. I padded the backside (on the outside against the wall) of the cabinets where the screws popped through with some cardboard and painter's tape so I don't accidentally stab myself reaching behind the cabinet blind in the future for whatever reason. I touched the rod I installed yesterday to check it before I undertook the second cabinet: it was nice and warm, though not overly warm. Comfortable to the touch.

This was recommended from the installer. We just started using it. Mounted easily and appears structurally stable. Time will tell

I use this dehumidifier stick in a closet in my basement. I keep my saxophone there so I don't have to lug it up and down the basement stairs since I practice in the basement. Saxes can be LOUD! And when you aren't especially musically talented, but still enjoy the experience, others in the household appreciate the distance. So far, the humidity has stayed in a safe range for a musical instrument. I routinely check it.

Great build quality, competitive pricing, warm to the touch when operating, well packaged for shipment. Hardest part of the install is threading the 110VAC power cable through your safe to an outlet or extension cord. You might have to drill an access hole. Keeps my humidity levels consistently between 50 - 60% RH which is perfect for my 'sporting equipment'.

Had trouble with moisture in out safes in the basement. Tried desiccants and absorbers but nothing really seemed to work. This does. Easy to install and has eliminated our problem. Only wished I’d found it sooner.

We live in an RV and moisture from humidity can be an issue. These can be used behind furniture and other places that air may not circulate well and moisture can be an issue. They’re safe close to walls and furniture and are good value, easy to install.
