RiedellLacing Hook for Figure Skates

I purchased this tighten believing I would have one and my husband would have the other one. We are both handicapped and use this for tightening our shoe laces. The picture is deceptive in that it shows two lace tighteners I only received one. Not happy with my purchase for this reason.

I am so glad I bought this. It works great for tightening my ice skate laces. A fellow skater let me borrow his hook, but it was one of those all metal hooks (that cost less), and even though it worked, it hurt my hand. I've had my skates for 10 months, and as I've advanced with my skating skills, and my skates are more "broken in", I need to continue to get the skates tighter so that I have stability for my foot and ankle. Pulling on the laces with my own strength has stopped working, and this hook definitely gets them tighter. The plastic handle is very comfortable and easy to use. I saw another reviewer say that they had issues with it slipping off the lace, but I do not experience this issue. For me, this works perfectly.

Given the picture of two hooks (and the relatively high price) I believed I was getting TWO hooks not just one.Deceptive.

This lacing hook helps me tighten my shoes the right amount quickly. If I just use my bare hands, my ice skates would be too loose, which would cause my ankles to hurt. It's small so I carry it in my pocket when I'm on the rink since I generally need to retighten every 45 minutes or so.

Works, but overpriced!

The hook itself is sturdy and works great and for that I would rate the product itself a 5 star rating. However, the picture shows two skate hooks. I was under the impression I was paying $10 for two. When only one showed up, I really felt deceived. Very disappointing
