I installed the gripper under a rug direct to carpet, previously the rug would shift and bunch with almost every step or movement made on it. I use the rug in my musical corner where i set up my digital piano or E-drum kit. its been installed for over a month now and the rug has never shifted once, even when vacuumed the rug stays still.Its is a little tricky to unravel the sticky gripper as only one side comes with the plastic film but once the none plastic covered side is successfully fitted to the underside of the rug its then a simple process of trimming to size if needed, peeling the protective film and flipping the rug over.I installed this by myself but with hindsight i would recommend you have 2 people install it.

I was disappointed at first as it didn't work, but I turned it over and it's much better. Quite awkward for one person with a larger rug, but two people will do it fairly easily. I've given it four stars as it's working with a rug that was moving around half an hour after being straightened and I was close to throwing out. Easy to trim with scissors. I don't think it will leave any residue over time or damage the carpet, which was my worry, it seems fine. Overall I'm happy.

This product worked well until I had to lift the rug up. Once replaced, it was useless.

Bought because my large rug kept creeping across lounge floor still moving very slightly but I’ve put that down to vacuum action had to fix rug before I bought this at least twice a day now just need to tweek rug once a week

We had a rug made from an offcut from our carpet. We followed the helpful review video from G Guichard and the first problem was that the unlined side would not stick to the rug. We patted it down all over, but when we turned the rug over the underlay just fell off! With two of us holding it in place with our fingers we managed to get it down.The second problem was that although the stickier (plastic-lined) side did adhere to the carpet, the lack of stick to the rug meant it moved and exposed the underlay (see photo).Poor adhesives go "off" over time - see how quickly a piece of Sellotape stuck to a window will fall off. I suspect our item was in stock for a long period and consequently has lost its adhesive qualities. This may explain why the product works for some, but not for us.

Did not appreciate having no instructions and had to Google for it!The rug still moves over the carpet!

Once fixed to the rug it was difficult to move it on the carpet without it peeling off.I managed eventually and the rug has stayed in place--- so a win.

All ok, but doesn’t work for us unfortunately. I think it’s our type of carpet.
