It is so refreshing to have a child’s book that is to the point. It is not wordy. Which makes it easier for children to understand. Just as Kathy’ s firstborn Kusa Big Surprise. It is to the point. The art work is so eye catching, great colors but not over done. Then the bonus questions keep children engaged

Such a wonderful book that teaches the importance of standing up for yourself, friends and family in a respectable way! That’s a lesson for all ages to apply in life! Very well written and beautiful artwork! Love the fun facts and activities at the end too! Highly recommend!

Excellent book that teaches children how to handle bullying in a positive way! The illustrations are colorful and the characters are relatable. Kids will also enjoy the Fun Facts and the engaging “Critter Catcher” activity.

I love these books! Especially this one! This book is prefect for all the bullying that's going on today. Children really need to learn how to speak up early. This book encourages positivity. I truly love the illustrations, hidden creatures and the talks. It also incorporated Kusa's friends from previous books. I can't wait to read the next Kusa book! ~Mary Manning

Another WINNER with the colorfully illustrated and precious animals, with a strong story on how children can learn to SPEAK UP! when teased of bullied. This is a timely issues and I so appreciated Author, Kathy Iorio's positive approach in children's dealing with such. KUSA, a sweet young girl elephant, helps her jungle friend characters how to speak up for themselves, while showing respect for yourself and others by being positive. I am enthralled with the Author's, "Let's Talk" at the end of the chapter, as it hones in on the pertinent points, very important! The Animal Fun Facts are also a wonderful way to end the book! WELL DONE!

My family enjoyed reading Kusa Speaks Up! As a mom, it is so important that I teach my children the confidence to speak up and out for themselves!! Kusa Speaks Up is a great example of just how to do that! We particularly enjoyed the 'Let's Talk' points at the end of the book. They are a great way to discuss and provide positive examples of how to deal with teasing in a healthy, respectful manner for all ages!!!
