This is the same Brandon quality that you find the big box doors. Even came and exactly the same packaging. NOTE: Instructions say to use 1/8" drill bit for pilot hole for the provided screws. THAT IS TOO BIG. USE A 3/32" BIT so the threads have something to grab onto and do not over tighten. Also, you do not have to level it on the door. You play with the tightness of the screws and adjust sections of it somewhat. This helps the seal land correctly on the threshold. Hope this helps.

Great price on a very effective drip cap. Easy to install. The vinyl seal works well. Very pleased.

This drip cap was not delivered as shown. What was delivered was a similar one with the vinyl seep connected to the upper underside of the drip cap like a less expensive but of similar quality. No bar as shown. Sight would not let me send a comment on the product detail correction.

I only used the metal drip guard and removed the vinyl strip as it wouldn't work with my door and step set up. Wish it came in gold tone but settled for the silver. It has rained hard several times since installing and the inside floor is staying dry now.

I’m taking off a star simply because the photo in the listing doesn’t match the actual product I received. It shows the gasket sits with an angle to the door, whereas the one I received sits parallel to the door... although this is how it shows in the drawing for the listing. I didn’t catch that these two images didn’t match when I purchased it... otherwise it’s strong and seems like it will last a long time. I need something that will push the water away from the threshold... and while this will work for the most part, the gasket is almost useless in my situation due to the design difference of what I expected from the photo and what I received.

It was what was depicted and described. Cut to fit and was exactly what I needed.

Bought this because the snow and rain were causing the bottom of an exterior steel door to deteriorate. Over the years moisture had rotted the wood that held the sweep in place. Repaired that but wanted to stop water from contacting the wood again. This worked great. It has a vinyl gasket under the metal which helps to keep melting snow and ice from contacting the bottom or leaking under. I had considered installing a screen door but they swing out and that's a problem after a heavy snowfall and I need at least one door to use as an exit. Also, the vinyl gasket in this item is replaceable if it ever wears out.

Item is not as pictured, at all. If you need something that mounts directly on the bottom of a door and creates a seal against a threshold or floor surface, this isn't it. This is a door sweep with a single flap of vinyl and an aluminum drip cap, and it's intended for mounting on the outside facing edge of exterior doors. The pictured seal is not what you will receive. That said, if you are not looking for the item pictured, and are instead looking for the item described, this is at least a product of good quality. It just isn't the product in the photo.
