I've been using the product for over a month, twice a day! I'm always very thorough with my skincare since I suffer with rosacea and sensitive skin, so I'm leaving a VERY detailed review for those who want an in-depth look! I first saw this product while looking for essence on Amazon. After doing research and seeing my favorite dermatologist (Cassandra Bankson) suggest it for rosacea sufferers, I had to try it! !!!NOTE!!!: During this, I was also trying out these products at the same time which may have boosted results (I will be reviewing as well): -Paula's Choice Hydrating Gel to Cream Cleanser -Doppeltree RENEW Overnight Facial Mask with Aloe Vera Gel & Hyaluronic Acid ---------------------------- Performance- 10/10 -This product is incredibly gentle on the skin! For those who suffer with rosacea or sensitive skin but wish to still use a toner, then this is the product for you! Make sure your skin is moist before applying to get the best results! -My favorite part about this product is that there is no fragrance or alcohol added. Fragrance in general is bad for any skin type. Sure it smells nice, but can be an irritant that leads to hives, redness, and itchy skin. Alcohol (not to be confused with Fatty Alcohols) in products can dry out skin, disrupt the skin barrier, and strains the skin, making it weak. Alcohol is often used for product to dry faster and degrease the skin. So if you have dry or sensitive skin, this product is safe! ALSO: If you happen to have Malassezia (fungal acne) this product is also safe to use! -Note: Toners all together should be avoided by rosacea sufferers and those with sensitive or dry skin, so always go for essence instead! Toners focus more on PH balance and often contain alcohol which is harmful to those with rosacea and sensitive skin. Essence is more for hydration. And when your skin is hydrated, it is able to absorb products better! ---------------------------- Consistency/Quality- 10/10 -It feels very smooth, almost like a serum, and glides along the skin seamlessly. It dries fairly quick as well and works best when the skin is moist (like with any skincare product). The product never separates, but I always tend to shake it before each use just in case! ---------------------------- Ingredients- 9/10 -What I love a lot about this product is that there are only 7 ingredients! With any good skincare product, always use the K.I.S.S system: Keep It Simple Stupid! The less ingredients, the more like it is to be better for you! I also love that this product has Astragalus and Arginine. Just sad that Arginine isn't higher up on the ingredient list (meaning there is less of it in the product). -There are quite a few ingredients that don't hurt but don't really help with the skin, though they MAY have SOME properties. BUT- all of the ingredients listed are safe for sensitive and rosacea prone skin! A lot of hydrating properties, so if you have dryer skin, a bonus! Like I mentioned before, there is no alcohol and no fragrances! -Note: All my research for each ingredient is done through using "Paula's Choice Ingredient Dictionary", "INCIDecoder", and "SpecialChem". I highly recommend using these websites to do deeper dives on ingredients in your skincare! I also used "National Institutes of Health (NIH)" for one of these ingredients. ~Ingredient Overview~ -Astragalus Membranaceus Root Extract (Astragalus/Milk-vetch root extract, herb)- Antioxidant, emollient, skin conditioning, anti-inflammatory, contains antiviral properties. -1,2-Hexanediol (a chemical relative to propylene glycol)- Synthetic preservative, solvent, moisture binding agent. But, is hydrating! -Butylene Glycol (1,3-Butanediol, organic compound)- Texture enhancer, humectant, solvent, penetration booster. But, is hydrating and MAY also decrease roughness on the surface of skin. -Bis-PEG-18 Methyl Ether Dimethyl Silane (Silicon-based polymer/Silicone)- Skin conditioning agent, surfactant, foam booster, moisturizer. - Fun fact- Silicone is completely safe for your skin in cosmetics! Completely safe for skin. -Carbomer (Polyacrylic acid, a series of polymers that derive from acrylic acid)- Texture enhancer, pH adjuster/stabilizer, thickener. Can increase skin permeation and retention of key active ingredients. Completely safe for skin up to 15% concentrate. -Arginine (Amino Acid naturally present in the body)- Hydrating, anti-aging, antioxidant benefits, repairing for visible skin damage, key role in skin’s natural production of replenishing substances such as proline and urea. ---------------------------- Value For Money- 10/10 -Perfect value for your money! Real bang for your buck! It's been a month and I still have plenty after using it twice a day everyday! ---------------------------- Overall- 10/10!!! -This is a great product! I enjoy it greatly and believe those who suffer with rosacea, dry skin, and/or sensitive will enjoy it too! No fragrance, no alcohol, just 7 ingredients, and as gentle as ever! Absolutely love this!

I’ve repurchased this essence toner twice now, which says a lot because I’m pretty picky about skincare products. It has become one of the most consistent hydrating steps in my routine. What I like: • Texture: thicker than a typical watery toner, but still lightweight and easy to apply • Hydration: leaves my skin feeling soft, calm, and well hydrated without heaviness • Gentle formula: has worked well for my sensitive skin and hasn’t caused irritation • Layering: pairs nicely with serums and moisturizers without feeling sticky • Everyday use: simple, dependable product that works well both morning and night I also appreciate that a little goes a long way, so the bottle lasts quite a while even with regular use. Overall, this is one of those products I continue coming back to because it’s gentle, hydrating, and easy to fit into any skincare routine. Update: Added photos to show texture and packaging.

I don't know what kind of magic this stuff is but I have been trying to clear up some leftover redness from a rosacea flareup I had 3 weeks ago and this got rid of the redness after 3 days of use. It also feels very nice and comfortable on the skin. I appreciate that there is no fragrance since I do have sensitive skin. Gives good moisture to my combo to dry mature skin.

This bottle must be the smallest I've seen at over $7.00. While I regularly use this essence toner in two of its larger sizes and like the hydration, I was totally surprised. Didn't even know the product came in this size. Recognizing this product is 'highly concentrated" will make it last longer, especially if you are tempted to apply it to hands, arms, for example, because it feels refreshing after a washing up or a shower.

The texture is what really sets it apart from other toners I’ve tried. It has a slightly richer, almost essence like feel rather than being watery, I love how it feels going onto my skin. It absorbs and seems to just soak right into my skin without leaving it sticky or heavy. Makes my skin look and feel more hydrated, plump, and radiant almost instantly.

I have been using this for almost a full month (twice daily) and I am so impressed! This has helped my sensitive, acne-prone skin so much! It has a very simple formula and I find it hydrating and soothing. I highly recommend!

I was real fast and loose with trying *all* the products recommended by a Derm on IG. I’m talking Retinoids, Adapolene, Glycolic Acic Salisylic Acid, Vitamin C Serum… I thought, alternating them should be fine! NO! Put them down! Too much too fast! My skin was doing fine at first. I got so many compliments. Then a month in, it suddenly started burning. It was as if someone suddenly put a little match to my skin barrier. It felt like a chemical burn (probably the glycolic acid TBH). Then everything that came in contact with my face made it significantly worse - even my most gentle face wash. Water burned. My towel patting my face dry burned. My barrier repair cream burned. PURE ALOE BURNED. My face was stinging, burning, skin was TIGHT, and kinda itchy. After some research the only thing I had in the house that might feel okay was Jojoba oil, which was fine for one night, but my skin still felt super dehydrated. I found this toner and read the reviews and took a gamble on an overnight delivery of it and a cleanser that was supposed to be “calming” and repair he barrier. Spoiler: the cleanser was a fresh new chemical burn. I braced myself for another burn when I applied the tiniest dab of this essence, and to my relief, it was the first calming sensation my bright red inflamed skin felt in 24 hours. I covered my entire face and neck with no issue and my dehydrated skin soaked it in immediately so I kept applying in layers until it stopped soaking in. 12 hours later, I’m still super sensitive and a little stingy when I applied a barrier repair cicaplast balm, but the essence remains calming and the redness has gone down to look like I got too much sun. Totally going to look into the rest of the product line because this was a godsend.

How are both of these 200 mL or 6.8 (6.76) ounces? The larger more worn bottle is a previous purchase, and the smaller bottle is what was delivered today. The product itself is absolutely amazing! Love it! It hydrates and leaves my skin glowing and soft. The product itself is not my issue. The value of said product and telling me that a bottle contains a certain amount of ounces/mL when I previously received more product for the price is my concern.

I use this toner every morning and I really love it. It feels very light on the skin and absorbs quickly. The best part is that it’s not sticky at all, which I really appreciate. It keeps my skin hydrated and fresh, especially during cold weather when my skin tends to get dry. It makes my face feel smooth and comfortable all day. I’m very happy with this product and would definitely recommend it!

I have oily skin and was finding milky toners would make it worse but toners meant for oily skin weren't hydrating enough. I was recommended this one, it's perfect. Consistency is great, it's easily absorbed with no residue. Feels natural and helps my skin feels bouncy. I always use it before any serums, it definitely helps them absorb more efficiently. The bottle size is perfect, a little goes a long way. I'll definitely be buying this again.

Really good for extra hydration. It has a serum feel but is very lightweight. Works for acne prone and comedones.
