Q: Is there a trick to using the opener? It seems the rollerball fits tight but after I open it and put it back it is loose and then leaks.

To my knowledge the rollerball should not be removed or it will stretch out the plastic

Q: How do you open it? I’ve been twisting & twisting & can’t get it open…

The top needs to pried off with something thin. I usually push the blade of a butter knife between the plastic and glass.

Q: Can this be used for a thick oil like cold pressed castor oil to roll on the scalp??

No. It won't work with olive oil either.

Q: What is the millimeter size of mouth opening?

The size of mouth opening is about 10 mm. Hope this could help you.
