How do you remove the filter at the end of the spout?

not too sure that the filter comes out. on a previous set of taps it just pulled out. hope this helps.

Can the valve cartridges be replaced?

when you say the valve cartridge, do you mean the tap inners as both these can be replaced approx £6-00 for the pair, the only other thing that can be replaced is the filter at the top of the tap. hope this helps.

Despite claiming quality materials, the tap gland is plastic which leaks and is a non-standard size so can't be replaced.
