A must garden tool for every homeowner
This is by far the best garden tool I have ever had. When trimming trees on top of a ladder I don't have to stretch way out and lean over the ladder. It allows me to cut branches about 3 ft farther than where I'm at without leaning out on the ladder. Very good quality works well. Wish they made it about 4 ft long as well

Perfect for pruning my prize tea rose tree!
What a great pruning tool for the star of my garden - my 15 ft tall arborized tea rose tree. It produces spectacular cabbage sized roses even if neglected, but I've provided support with an arbor & now can prune from above (on my deck balcony) & below. Very well made, lightweight, good price, & treats my roses tenderly

Does the job I needed done
I bought this item to trim the plants on the hard to reach side of my fish pond. It cuts well and does the job I need — but the “hold” feature doesn’t always work. It IS worth buying.

Awkward and doesn't cut well
I wanted to use this long-handled shears to prune some of the lower-hanging thin branches of my River Birches, but this tool is not very good.First, it's awkward to use; the head swivels too easily so the cutter kinda flops around.Second, it only cuts well for branches between 3mm (1/8") and 5mm (a little under 1/4") in diameter. Anything larger than 5mm creates an awful lot of flexing, creaking, and feeling like I'm going to break something. Anything smaller than 3mm causes branches tend to fold over rather than be cut. The blade seems sharp enough, and the hinge screw seems tight, so not sure why the cutting performance is so poor. The small pruning shears seem better. I gave those and the included gardening gloves to my wife, so all is not lost.I may just modify the long-handled shears so that the head does not swivel (or at least not swivel so easily) and turn it into a grabber to move sticks and whatnot without having to get off the tractor when mowing the lawn

Very handy
Just as advertised. Saves a lot of bending and reaching ( and bug bites)

Snip Snip Snip
Pretty much an all in one package, comes with a set of gloves, extended clipper and normal hand clipper. Sharp enough to snip most small branches. Light weight, sold construction and functional.

Not for me. Very wide grip, and heavy, did not hold the cut flowers
It has a very wide handle, not easy for a woman like me or anyone with a not-so-big hand to grab. And it did not hold the cut flowers well. You have to cut with a certain way to hold onto the cut (and I did not figure out exactly how), more than half of my cuts dropped. It is also much heavier than a similar cutter I had before. I used it for a few cuts and my hand was already sore. I am returning it and getting another brand.
