Attractive and functional
Update (5/29/2019): All the glasses except for the defective one which was replaced, are holding up well. We have put them through the dishwasher many many times, and they are just as beautiful as they were when new. Great product, and great service! ------- Update (5/20/2019): One of these glasses arrived defective - the hole at the bottom was not quite sealed and caused water to get into the chamber between the two glass walls, which causes the glass to fog up internally. I sent the photos of the defect to Nick from Kitchables (seller). He was very responsive, and offered to either give me a full refund, or a full replacement set - he actually sent me a full set instead of the one replacement glass that I was expecting. Extremely impressive customer service to say the least. I did not even have to send back the defective item. Needless to say, I will be buying from them again. -------------- These coffee glasses are extremely attractive, and show off the lattes and machiatos very well. They are just the right size for a European sized drink. They keep the drink quite hot for a reasonably long time and have saved us the trouble of reheating our coffees and teas, which we used to do quite often. The double-walled glass serves its purpose. The glasses are not slippery since they do taper outward at the mouth, but you do have to be a tiny bit careful so as not to let them slip. But that has not been a problem for us. We really love the looks, the functionality and construction of these glasses, and will probably buy more of them in a different style from this company (Kitchables).

Good. But very wide diameter
Iโm giving it 5 stars because it holds a decent amount of coffee and they look great,,,BUTโฆthey are WIDE and not the most comfortable coffee mugs to hold. I wish they came narrower because theyโd be perfect. If you have small hands (I donโt and the diameter is still too wide), look for insulated glass mugs with handles

HUGE 19 Oz. INSULATED Glass Mugs!
I believe these are the best coffee mugs I have ever had! They are truly huge @ 19 ounces, and even better, they are insulated so my hot beverages stay hot long enough for me to drink the whole cup! The mugs keep cold beverages cold, of course. They are awesome for making root beer floats, too! If the root beer is really cold it will freeze onto the ice cream, and that is absolutely divine on a hot day! These mugs are glass, so do be careful with heavy, metal spoons. That being said, they feel pretty sturdy for an insulated mug, and I ought to know because I have broken several insulated mugs of other brands! These seem much better, and have heavier glass than all the others that I have tried. Since I mentioned how the mugs feel, these mugs feel so good in my hands that I never want to put the mugs down! I have big hands for a woman, but they would seem small on most men. I guess that makes my hands a sort of gender neutral, average representation of a generic human hand-- AKA average human hand size. I have thrown out all of my ceramic mugs except the few that were gifts, or otherwise have sentimental value, because it's all but impossible to find ceramic mugs that have lead-free glazes. Yes, even in the US. Glass is much healthier and safer than ceramic. These mugs are so amazing that I am giving my mother a set of these cups and some fancy teas for Mother's Day this year. I know she will love them because I just adore mine!

Attractive & Functional. Definitely keeps tea hot longer, but. . . .
I bought these 12oz double walled glasses because I wanted something to keep tea hotter longer at work. I liked the look of them on the product page, and the 4.5 star reviews gave me confidence in spite of a number of complaining reviews. When I opened the extremely well packaged box, I was very pleased at how attractive they were out of the box, and they certainly made my first cup of tea even more attractive. The first time I used one I noted that it did keep tea hot longer, but not as long as some of the claims in various reviews. Nor did the tea grow instantly cold as some nay-sayers claimed. Out of curiosity,I decided to test both new Kitchables cups against my favorite 12oz medium weight ceramic cup with a handle to see how much difference there really was. I tested both new cups for consistency. I began by ensuring the volume was identical. I used a Pyrex 500ml/16oz measuring cup for this & discovered that all three cups hold 12oz liquid with approx 1/8 clearance at the rim. All three cups were tested at ambient temperature and were at 69 degrees Farenheit. I used an infrared thermometer to measure the outside & inside temperature of the cups before filling (Etekcity Lasergrip 1080 Infrared Thermometer, purchased on Amazon). During the test the cups rested on identical wooden trivets to ensure any heat transfer at the bottom of the cup would be minimal and as similar as possible. To measure the temperature of the water, I used a mercury bulb thermometer I'd had around for a while - faster and more accurate than most instant-read thermometers for this sort of work. During the test I kept the thermometer in hot water that was cooling at roughly the same rate as the cups in order to avoid introducing heat or cold into the first cup I measured. I began by boiling water to a full boil. The temperature was 210 degrees (mercury bulb thermometer) when I poured it (212 is hard to reach and depends on altitude and barometric pressure). I filled each cup to the 12oz mark and measured the outside temperature of the cup with the infrared thermometer. I then checked the water temperature and outside temperature of each cup every 5 minutes for 30 minutes. I discovered that (as expected) the two double-walled cups measured almost identically through the entire test, so I will report them as one cup for convenience. At 5 minutes: glass cup water was 170 degrees, outside was 110 degrees (comfortable to hold); ceramic cup water was 160 degrees, outside was 146 degrees (not comfortable without the handle). 10 minutes: glass cup was 159/107; ceramic 151/138. 15 minutes: glass cup was 145/102; ceramic 140/130. 20 minutes: glass cup was 141/100; ceramic 134/122. 25 minutes: glass cup was 135/96; ceramic 125/116. 30 minutes: glass cup was 126/94; ceramic 120/112. Clearly, the double-walled cups kept the water warmer longer but after the initial 5 minutes they lost heat at approximately the same rate as the ceramic cup. This could be due in part to the fact that the glass cups had a larger diameter at the top than the ceramic cup (3" compared to 2.5"), and so they lost more heat from the larger surface area; also using the trivets may have decreased the heat loss from the wider-bottomed ceramic mug (as might have happened during real-life usage). The initial heat loss was less with the glass cups, likely due to the fact that while the double walls may contain only vacuum as advertised, heat conduction through the continuous glass walls of the container would be less than the solid ceramic walls of the other cup. A matching glass lid would probably help the glass cups retain heat longer, just as keeping the lid on your vacuum-sealed travel cup will. Out of curiousity, since at work I microwave the water inside the tea cup, I tested a glass cup by filling it to 12oz and microwaving it to a visible boil. When measured, the water was at only 205 degrees (any physics expert who can explain that is welcome to weigh in, because I'm curious about that). However, the outside of the cup was at 125 degrees and decidedly uncomfortable to the touch, probably due to the water conducting heat to the glass while it heats. Obviously, though, the beverage would stay hot longer simply because the cup itself wouldn't be cooling it down as soon as the hot liquid is poured into it. And, similarly, preheating the cup with hot water before adding your hot beverage will allow the beverage to be hot longer. So what do I take out of all this? These are attractive cups, although as others have noted they are better for a person with a large hand (me, for example). They keep the beverage warm longer but not profoundly longer, because they are not sealed vacuum bottles or travel cups. Still, if the beverage is still warm 30 or 40 minutes after pouring it instead of feeling cool, that's a win and these glass cups look a lot nicer than the travel mug of your choice. They are very nice to have room temperature water in and guests to my office appreciate a glass rather than a paper cup. Downside: they're tricky to microwave in, because using a hotpad to take them out of the microwave feels insecure on the smooth glass. Because of this, a silicone hotpad might be better than cloth, although I haven't tried one yet. Comments on selected review claims and complaints: 1. They will not keep your coffee hot for an hour, nor will your coffee be cold in 10 minutes. 2. They hold a full 12oz with room to sip. 3. They are not exceptionally fragile. However, when you drop glass on the floor or table, or click glasses with any force at all, it can break. I've had mason jars collapse in my hands just by touching them together - and mason jars are tough. Would I buy them again or recommend them to a friend? Yes. Even though they don't keep my tea hot as long as the ridiculously expensive name-brand travel mug of your choice, they're very nice glasses too look at and to hold..

Great glasses, just a little bit more fragile than we would have liked
We ordered these espresso shot glasses from Kitchables and the first thing I noticed when I opened the box was the handwritten note from the owner! Immediate credit for that personal touch -- I love when an owner goes the extra mile to engage with their customers. The second thing I noticed was the build quality. These glasses feel so great in hand and the double-walls make them look super sleek and modern. The double wall tech works great too as I finally have a set of espresso shot glasses I can pour immediately after pulling the espresso without feeling like my fingertips are on fire. There were a few cons. First, I think it would have been helpful to incorporate some reference lines on the design. I believe the product description notes that it holds about a double shot, but for an espresso newbie like me, I would've liked single and double indicator lines to help make my pulls more precise. Also, the glasses are pretty fragile. I was handwashing one and it slipped out of my hand and completely shattered when it hit the edge of the sink. The fall was maybe about 5 or 6 inches, so I was a bit disappointed, but I'll just need to make sure I handle them SUPER carefully going forward so the other three stay in one piece. Aside from the fragility and the lack of reference lines, I HIGHLY recommend these glasses! The look great, work amazingly, and look super classy to pull, pour, or even serve your espresso in!

Great quality glasses
Loved they arrive well packaged and protected in their box. They're of great quality and are awesome for either hot coffee or or cold beverages. The double wall keeps the exterior cool regardless of the inside's liquid temperature. The design is pretty clean and they're very comfortable to hold in your hand. I really love them and Im pretty satisfied with them and their overall quality. As long as you take care of them, they'll last quite long and do their job just great. Great purchase for me.

Nasty and unusable
I purchased these glasses to replace a similar Bodum glass based on good reviews of the glasses and the company's willingness to stand behind their products. I was replacing the Bodums as they were fairly fragile and a couple have been broken. Based on the reviews, these seemed more durable and the company portrayed itself with "stand behind our products" ethos. Unfortunately, this was an epic fail on both accounts (product and company). The glasses looked nice and worked well, but they rapidly filled up the double wall chamber with nasty dirty water. I did use the dishwasher (quote from their product description - safe for microwave and dishwasher). While still technically functional, they are now completely unusable unless you want to see milky colored dishwater in your glass. I reported the situation to the company (Kitchables) with a description of the problem via email. I expected some kind of a response (again, a quote from their product description - We have full confidence that you will love this set but if you're not 100% happy with your cups for any reason, we've got your back! Drop us a message and let us know and you'll get your money back with our lifetime guarantee, easy as that!). I have waited a full month, giving them the benefit of the doubt of being shorthanded in these COVID-19 times, but I have had no response of any kind. To add insult, the return window is now closed; I'll be discarding the nasty looking glasses after letting them sit on my counter for the last month. I would strongly suggest people to avoid these glasses. Based on the lack of response, I would also avoid Kitchables as a company with non-existent customer service. PS - I generally don't leave such negative reviews, especially over $20 worth of glasses, but this company specifically portrayed themselves as very customer-centric. That's just not true.

pour myself a nice hot steaming cup of the best coffee I have ...
These things are rocking my world. Look, I get up in the morning, pour myself a nice hot steaming cup of the best coffee I have ever found, and by the time I'm halfway done with the cup it's @#$% cold. NOT what ANYONE should have to live with in this modern age. Enter Kitchables' coffee mugs. These wonderful cups may have just saved me from a murder conviction. They keep my delicious brew hot. Or at least very warm by the time I hit the last 3 swallows. Really, I'm down to the last sips and there is still heat there. Here's a bonus... I'm not scalding my hand holding that cup. The insulation between the outside world and my coffee makes my morning better. Let me also address something. I've seen complaints about these being fragile. Um.... it's GLASS people. They can break. So far I have not broke one. They appear delicate but I have popped them down on my granite counter top a little too hard and not caused any damage. I can guarantee that if I dropped on on my tile floor, it would be a major explosion. :) Conclusion... DON'T BE CLUMSY! :) I can comment negatively on only one thing about THIS purchase. There are just a little bigger than I desire for a cup of hot coffee. Yes they hold a lot but I think the smaller size would be more manageable while reading the paper (or tablet in my case). On the other hand, this size is wonderful for iced coffee. With the ice cubes and coffee you get enough caffeine to move your emotions. I will be ordering the smaller size also. The quality of these are quite impressive. And, damn.... they look good.

I love this product!
I'm not going to lie, at first I was terrified to pour boiling water into this glass. Because it LOOKS like a glass & not a coffee/tea mug. Thank goodness I got over it. This is, bar none, my most favorite "mug" now. It gets warm without being scalding hot, like my other mugs do. I can comfortably hold it without burning myself. It's beautiful, I love being able to see my liquid as well. I drink a lot of herbal tea & with a regular mug you don't get to really enjoy the beautiful colors.

Lovely elegant shaped mug perfect for my tea or coffee
Love the shape. Easy to clean, keeps beverage hot and glass is nice and thick to reduce risk of breakage. We have owned other makes. This is a lovely cup at a lower price than a more well known brand. Would buy again. Would definitely give as a gift. Great packaging to protect if you are going to ship as a gift. Highly recommend.

Water gets inside.
These are very cute cups. They came in a nice package. The issue is that there is a hole at the bottom where water gets in and gets trapped between the two layers. It is almost impossible to get that water out. It is definitely impossible to clean it if dirty water gets in. We stopped using these as coffee cups and are planning to use them as planters.
