Merchant Ambassador MLB Wooden Pinball Arcade Game

I bought this because I am a pinball fan, and a baseball fan. I was initially hesitant because some of the reviews were less than flattering, but I decided to take a chance anyways and I am very happy with what I got. The game came as advertised, nice wooden playfield, well crafted, looks great. The only things I could find to take issue with are the backboard being made of cardboard, which isnt a big deal, but plastic or even plastic cardboard might hold up better over time or look and feel better at least. And the bigger thing is the flipper. Pulling the flipper back can be a bit difficult. It is definitely workable, but it is a bit of a workout on the forearm. I opened up the back panel to see how it works and see what could be done with it to make it easier and discovered that there is a lot of friction between the trigger, and the slide that is gets housed in. The trigger tries to torque inside its housing as the spring is pulling on it, and it leads to the plastic of the trigger rubbing against the plastic of the little track that the trigger slides inside of. When you stabilize the trigger and pull it from the inside and the outside to keep the trigger from rubbing in the housing, it engages very smoothly and works great. I think if they added a track to keep the trigger more stable, the flipper would stay just as strong, AND be easier to engage. I also added a piece of slider paper from a small pinball machine I have, which cuts down the friction between the trigger and its housing, and that helped some as well..... But I digress... The game itself is a lot of fun to play, and I am glad I bought it. I have and will have hours upon hours of fun with it. It is a great feeling to smack a homerun off the back wall. I had played very similar games to this in arcades to win bouncy balls and stuff, and this is every bit as fun. I highly recommend this game, it might be a little difficult for a kid to operate, but hopefully the company will continue working on the engineering and make it even better.

It’s a cute game fun to play with.

My son (age 7) bought this with money he got from the Easter Bunny and was so excited! It’s definitely cool, with a few caveats. The handle to pull back the bat is extremely difficult to pull back, especially to be able to do it quickly after launching the ball. His hands were just not strong enough to do so and also stabilize the board. The holes on the board are also difficult. There are multiple giant holes for outs, and only a few, much smaller holes, for singles, doubles, etc… This led to some frustration after batting over 30 times and struggling to even use the bat, and then when he finally did he would just get an out. Lastly, if you position the stickers around the outside, like pictured, they do not all fit. My little baseball fan was so disappointed, as he wanted them to all be there. So I improvised and am attaching a picture to this review of our “solution” in case others feel the same. We did this on both sides, put 2 on the front by the ball launcher, and put our favorite team (the Orioles!) on the field. We put the American League on one side and the National League on the other side and, with the 3 removed for the field and front, they all fit with a little space left on the back.

Haven't opened the box, but my brother in law is a big baseball fan. Thought it would make a cute Christmas gift and looks good. He is in his 70s and an attorney. Figured it would be something he could do besides golf if he ever retires!

I bought this for my grandson for Christmas. He has played with it for a few months. The lever part that controls the bat is cheap plastic. The part broke and this seller refuses to send a replacement part or replace the game. The part broke from normal play NOT abuse. I spent $55 for this item and for that amount expected it to last for a reasonable amount of time. This is the WORST experience I have ever had buying anything through Amazon. I asked Amazon customer service to report this seller. If they will not stand behind their product they should not be allowed to sell on Amazon. I am beyond frustrated and disappointed. I will NEVER buy from this seller again and you should not either.
