Absolutely love this BLACK+DECKER fan with remote! It was incredibly easy to assemble, took me less than 10 minutes, and the build quality feels solid and stable. The remote control is a game-changer, allowing me to adjust the speed and oscillation without leaving my bed or couch. It offers three speed settings and a 90° oscillation feature that effectively circulates air throughout the room. The fan operates quietly, making it perfect for nighttime use, and the adjustable height and tilt ensure I can direct the airflow exactly where I need it. Overall, it's a fantastic value for the price and has made a noticeable difference in keeping my space cool and comfortable.

This is a great fan. It was easy to put together. It is lightweight but very sturdy. Love having the remote. I’ve had it for a year and use ii regularly, especially on hot nights, and it really cools the room. I wasn’t looking for a completely silent fan- It makes just the right amount of white noise but it is not true so you could easily have a conversation or watch TV without it interfering very durable and reliable and I recommend it highly!

This BLACK+DECKER 18-Inch Stand Fan with Remote seemed like a good buy. I've owned many Black + Decker products over the years and while their products don't always have all the "bells and whistles" of other brands, I've been able to count on the products being well built, reliable, and fairly priced.Before I purchase any product on Amazon, I read all the 1-star reviews and some of the 5-star. I was surprised to read several reviews from customers claiming the BLACK+DECKER 18-Inch Stand Fan with Remote doesn't blow air. I honestly chalked those up to people who were expecting a wind tunnel experience and were disappointed to receive a normal house fan experience instead.The first week I had the fan the temperature wasn't as hot as its been the past few days. I was using the fan on either the low or medium speed and it was working fine.But the temperature has been in the upper 80s - low 90s lately and I've needed to use the high speed setting, except......when I first switch it to high, the fan produces a very strong gust of air, and accompanying that, the fan gets a bit louder. But after 2-3 minutes, that strong gust disappears and the strength of the air blowing from the fan more closely resembles the lowest setting.What makes this so confusing is the fan blades don't appear to be moving any more slowly, and if there's any change in the fan's volume, it's barely perceptible. My decibel meter registers a drop in volume of only about 5 decibels.In all the many years I've been a Prime member, I've refunded/returned only a half-dozen items. Unfortunately, this BLACK+DECKER 18-Inch Stand Fan with Remote will be going back, too.Rather than taking a chance with a replacement of the same fan, I've already ordered one made by Lasko instead.If you purchase the BLACK+DECKER 18-Inch Stand Fan with Remote the fan you receive may work perfectly - there are enough 5-star reviews to prove most of them do.But be prepared for the possibility you may get a lemon, and keep its box and all its shipping materials in case you have to pack it up and send it back. It will make that process, at least, far much easier.

I got this BLACK+DECKER 16 in. Stand Fan with Remote Control earlier this year (in May 2018) after the Honeywell HS-1655 QuietSet 16" Stand Fan that I had got in June 2016, had started failing after less than a year, by the following spring, becoming very unpredictable in whether it would work or not. Sometimes it'd just shut off for no reason — and and more often than not, if it was off and I turned it on, the fan would just NOT start up, even though it was turned on, and properly plugged in and everything. Eventually, that fan conked out COMPLETELY at the end of July 2017.Yet, I decided not to replace it right away, even though, because of various factors (windows, position of my room, etc.), my bedroom, unfortunately, gets REALLY hot in the summer, and REALLY cold in the winter, despite having central heating & air-conditioning — and I need to use external devices (like a space heater or a fan -- depending on the season) to regulate the temperature in my bedroom to a tolerable/comfortable level. However, since it was already towards the end of the end of the summer, by then, and because I had bought that fan in a rush, and it had turned out to be such a dud, I wanted to take my time choosing this one. So I waited until after the last month or so of summer, as well as fall & winter had passed, and started looking for a new fan in the spring of this year, and finally bought this 16 in. BLACK+DECKER Stand Fan with Remote Control in early May, before summer would arrive, and it might become unbearably hot in my bedroom.So I got this fan, and read through the manual and set it up. It was pretty easy to assemble with the instructions, and for the most part (granted, I've only had this fan for a couple months or so, now) I am pretty happy with this fan, and in some ways (like how it has a holder on the stand, to store the remote control) its EVEN BETTER than my last fan, the Honeywell HS-1655 QuietSet 16" Stand FanLike my last fan, this one is also 16 inches, and it also comes with a remote control, as well as the aforementioned storage container on the stand itself, to stash the remote control when the remote is not needed and/or the fan is not in use — which is a GOOD thing for those like me, who are very disorganized, messy and/or have ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder) or ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder). I am ALWAYS searching for a particular remote at one time or another — and there are just SO MANY of them now (though I'm trying to consolidate at least SOME of them). I mean, all told, I probably have over a dozen different remotes, and I can never keep track of them, especially the smaller sized remotes like the Apple TV remote and those for my CD clock radio and my iPod speaker dock alarm clock. Which is why I'm so glad that this model comes with a remote holder on the stand, because since I rarely need to use the remote for the fan, I usually keep it stashed in the remote holder, which means one less remote to worry about and need to keep looking for.This fan has 3 settings, Low, Medium and High, and can be changed either by the remote or by pressing a button on the stand. Although I wish it were a little stronger on each setting (hence the 4 star rating), its a pretty good flow and I'm mostly satisfied with it. Apparently this fan also has a timer, though since I've never used it so far, I cannot speak to it, or how it works — and since I also seemed to have misplaced the manual (I'm sure its probably around somewhere, and I'll find it at some point -- if not, I'll have to get/download another one online, if I can) I'm not sure how to set up the timer. But I haven't really needed it so far, and if that changes I guess I'll figure it out then.In the meantime, I'm pretty happy with this fan though, since I've only had/used this fan for a couple months or so, I'll probably come back and update this review later, if there is anything major that changes about it.For now though, I DO recommend this fan and think its a good product★☆★☆★ 5 STARS!!!!

I am in love already have only had it for about 6 hours and it is awesome. Easy to assemble, nice price, quiet motor, and great air flow!! The remote is just an added bonus!!!

So far very happy with this fan.

This is a second fan I bought. The first one I bought a year ago, still works, had no problems. The one I bought currently doesn't tilt, and the back plastic was broken, the one that stops the tilt. I wanted to send it back, but I taped it, and I am using it. It is very quiet and 18" makes strong wind. It would be 5 stars if not for the tilt.
