Q: Can this be used on ceramic knives?

No, the knives are much too brittle. I made the mistake of trying to sharpen a ceramic knife with this tool. It took several chunks out of the ceramic knife on the first pull, ruining the knife.

Q: Can it sharpen bread knives?

This piece of junk can't sharpen anything. Don't waste your money on it.
