they do work. you need to take your time opening, feeding the wires in and tightening them. do not feel that well made, but for the money, did exactly what I wanted in make some short extensions cords.

For the money they are not bad ,a little hard on how the wires insert,nuts for wires were loose inside you would think they would be attached ,one actually broke when trying to srew together

I am repairing some old extension cords. These connectors work fine.There are one or two reviews for this product stating it was difficult to wrap the wire around the connecting screw.The ones I received have a clamping mechanism -the wire is placed between the clamping surfaces and the screw is tightened to hold the wire captive.That is a good design, in my view -found on the best 'name-brand' devices. I have used countless such devices over the past 40 years, having been in electrical construction and maintenance for all those years.These devices are in the low-end price range and do the job I expected them to do.I would encourage people to leave electrical wiring to those who have been trained. Electrical current should be respected for the life-safety issue it is.Further, people claiming to be 'electricians' -unless having served an indentured apprenticeship, are not -and, have likely not received proper training.

Was not expecting these to be high quality, But did not think that one of the five would have the completely wrong insert. Most of the connectors I able to use only have 2 of the 3 screws holding properly as the other screw stropped out. The clamp on the wire looks good but the contacts for the plug are flimsy. Bought these for a couple cords that are rarely used and they look like they will work for that, but would not depend on these for heavy use.

compared to what is available locally these were a bargain....easy to use, about average

the end plugs are of low quality and the connections are tiny I did not want to spend to much money and the 5 of them makes a bargain but other than that can expect much durability out
