Very helpful and clear written book. Perhaps the most useful textbook for introduction in this topic. Some chapters in second half can be skipped without difficulties in further understanding.

If you like quantum wells, wires, or dots then this book is for you. It is well-written and accessible. It is not complicated mathematically and has many illuminating figures. It can be recommended.
