Low rateing for install is for my personal situation, I bought this for a specialized application to hold open a gate between animal pens, when our hands are full. I didn't realze that the gate has a hollow Fibrex frame and this door stop is of such heavy duty construction that the supplied screws just pull out of the thin Fibrex frame. As for the device it is very well constructed and I've tested it on a heavy wooded door and it hold the door open exactly where the foot is pushed down. and then stepping on the release pin is easy to find with your foot, important when you have your hands full and eyes are on stampeeding animals. I really like this device and want to find a way to mount it on the Fibrex gate.

Great door stopper
Great buy. My dogs would always push the back door and move all the food and water bowls. With this the door stays in place and it’s easy to use without having to find the door stopper and put it out.

Beats the others available
Tried some of the others in this price range and they broke after a few months use. This one seems more suited for high traffic doors.

Defective
I ordered two. Neither one worked. I am glad I did not install them before I tested them. Both are being returned and I will not have them replaced. If was only one I might take the chance to have one replaced. Two out of two bad, there is no way I am going to try again.

A ne pas utiliser sur un tapis
Pour ma part je l'ai installer sur une porte en fer qui est dans une pièce qui a un tapis au sol (moquette) et ca ne fonctionne pas, sa glisse.. Utiliser le uniquement sur sol en béton.

This is not stainless steel, just buffed metal. And it does not work at all; the rubber has no grip as well. I regret this purchase.
