Scary sharp right out of the box
Beautiful little plane. The iron doesnโt look like itโs forged, more like stamped out of plate steel and itโs definitely not the kind where a Japanese smith has fused a high carbon steel piece onto a softer one. Nevertheless, right out of the box, itโs sharp enough to take fine shavings. After sharpening the iron and setting it properly, itโs even more of a joy to use.
