Firmstrong Classic Beach Cruiser Bicycle Bell

When I first put it on it didn’t make much of a sound, you just have to rotate the upper portion of the bell a few times to open it up. It’s ADORABLE!! Great sound and so cute!

I bought two of these for the grandkids. The four year old has a scooter and the two year old a trike. The bell was able to attach to both; for the scooter, we had to mount it sideways on the vertical bar because of the handlebar grips leave no space between them, and it still works great. This bell is solid, heavy, metal, and very well made, should last forever. Has that classic bicycle bell ring. I was concerned that the two year old might not be able to get sound from it but it pushes easily to make the ring and she had no difficulty. It a nice, pleasant, fairly loud bell, certainly more than adequate to alert someone of your presence and to completely delight a child ringing it purely for the joy of it. Mounting it is super easy, took a few seconds using a Phillips-head screwdriver. Easy to remove as well if you want to attach it to a different bike. Because of the way it is made it will accommodate some slight differences in the thickness of handlebars. Would be perfect for an adult bike, too.

I already had a bell on my 21-speed bike, but it was totally destroyed when I got hit by a car in March. Of the bells I looked it, this one appeared to the best for the least amount of money. After receiving it, I attached it to my bike, using a Phillips screwdriver. Very easy. However, what surprised me was the quality of the sound it made. It was far superior to the tone of the previous bike bell, and the duration of the tone is also longer. I also have a 120-decibel horn on my bike, but 95% of the time, I just use this to notify pedestrians walking ahead of me.

Purchased this bell for my huffy beach cruiser. The bell isn’t an exact match to the bike paint color but it matches the cup holder and the seat perfectly. It looks like a pale yellow in person but is called vanilla. It’s a great addition to my bike. Love the vintage look, was easy to install with 2 screws and a great price. Love love love this purchase and highly recommend. The bell sound is perfect.

It's really cute and easy to install on bike or scooter. It has a nice clear chime that kind of trills. I dropped it a single time inside and one of the clackers or something came free and now it rattles in there. It still dings and is nice and loud so I'm still gonna use it. It's cute too and I got the turquoise color and it's really nice. I like the size. Easy to use while riding on left hand side for me. I gave it 4 out of 5 because I can't give it a 4.7 and because of the single drop thing. A lot of people are pretty hard on their bikes. Bells are a warning system and should be reliable.

I have a propensity for losing the top part of my bells. The body that gives the resonance unscrews itself and falls off, which is how I lost my expensive Crane bell. This Firmstrong bell is nearly as good as the Crane, for about 1/2 the cost. The only negative factor is that when I tighten the body all the way down, the pitch is lower, with less resonating afterwards. The resonance is there, but just not as lingering. I fished a fishing line through the little indentation in the top part of the bell down to the mount, which kept the bell loose but still anchored. The sound, however, was muted. Now I am trying Loctite on the thread, locking the bell in place just a few degrees shy of full stop. When the bell is less than all the way screwed in, the tone is higher and the resonating lasts longer. Also, note how the bell is mounted on the left side of the handlebar, which places the lever for a thumb actuation. If you mount it on the right side, you would be using your index finger. Hopefully things stay planted. Nevertheless, have a good ride.

Nice little bell with classic sound. Only issue is it might scuff up or scratch your handlebars so you have to jippo something in between the mount and the handlebars to prevent it
