Incredibly funny!
I love this book! It has such a great storyline with well developed characters. These characters are the kind that a person not only relates to but who stick with you long after you've finished reading their story. And I am thrilled at the return of one character especially who has a recurring role in several of this author's stories - Elsie Hawkins. The author did an amazing job making the reading of this book just flow so easily page to page, chapter after chapter. I found myself laughing out loud, tearing up, and basically feeling everything the heroine was feeling, so much so that I couldn't get the story out of my mind even when I found myself having to set the book aside from time to time. It's an absolutely magnificent read that I recommend for everyone! Don't forget about this author's other books either.

Smitten
Lizabeth is divorced, with two small boys and a fixer-upper Victorian home. She needs a job and applies to a local construction company owner, Matt, for a job as a carpenter, or wherever he can use her. She figures her aunt can babysit the kids during the summer and the work hours will be compatible with the kids' being in school. He, himself, is quite attractive and unmarried. He takes an immediate interest in her and is concerned about whether his new employee has the strength and know-how to do the job. He finds out about her house needing work and volunteers to help. There is a dog, a naked flasher, and the irrepressible outlook of Elsie Hawkins, the aunt. One thing leads to another. It's well written and has some very funny situations.

I love Janet Evanovich' books
I love Janet Evanovich' books. This one was no exception. My only complaint is the very first time I opened the book to read it, two sections of pages fell out. Not 2 pages but many in 2 groups. By the time I finished reading the book on the second day it had lost the cover and I was literally holding the book pages together to finish the book.

Sweetly Smitten
Smitten was a sweet way to reacquaint myself with the talented author. The humor in the story echoes the Plum novels - a nice treat.

Beach reading
Easy to read while relaxing on the beach or an airplane. A feel good book. The plot is light and the ain’t character is laughable.

Forever and Always a Favorite
I used to have this book in paperback, but I read it so often the spine split and the pages fell out--twice!!! Witty dialogue, loveable characters, a small mystery and Aunt Elsie make this book the perfect read for a cozy afternoon.
