I dont know who's book shelf these would fit on because they are huge, its more of how deep they are. Which is odd because modern TVs tend to be so thin. My TV is a modern Bravia and is as thin as it gets so the contrast in depth between the two is really hard to make work aesthetically speaking. That being said, the sound is really fantastic, probably some of the best at this price point. I pair it with and older marantz from the early 2000s and its warm sound pairs nicely with it. Probably not as precise in its sound as some other monitor speakers, but I prefer the non clinical sound of them. I listen to alot of acoustic performances and vocal stuff and these work great for this. They also work great for movies. When straight out of the box, the tribble can be really harsh until the break in period is done, it took a couple of hours of listening for it to sound the right way. Initially tribble was painful but sounds excellent now. The bass with these is really nice, and gets it just a enough umph to make getting an external subwoofer and option but not a necessity, but it all depends on what you listen to. The general look is really nice for the speakers, the faux wood covering is kind cheap looking on close inspection and I'd imagine it not holding up over the decades but they look just fine from a normal distance. Overall appearance is sharp. I just wish they were not as deep for my kind of set up.

Configuración que tengo: Polk ES20, amplificador Fosi ZA3 ($2.8k), DAC (receptor BT a RCA/Optico): Fiio BR13 ($1.5k).Físicamente, y comparado a los Edifier S1000mk2, estos Polk son mas grandes, sobre todo en profunidad, considera esto de acuerdo a tu area o espacio. Muy importante seguir las reglas de acustica en sonido stereo (ponerlas en triangulo).En calidad de audio, no decepcionan, para tenerlas conectadas a un amplificador de $3,000 pesos suenan muy bien, sobre todo las notas de instrumentos acústicos y voces (Jazz/soul/folk) tienen muy buena nitidez. Siento que donde mejor se aprecian, es a 3/4 del volumen del ampli q tengo.No tengo mucha experiencia en equipos de audio stereo, vengo de usar bocinas activas (las Edifier S1000 mkii), no obstante, creo que son buen punto de partida estas ES20, te saltas la gama mas baja de Polk (la XT), y algo muy bueno, es que las vende Amazon Mexico directamente, ya que he visto otras marcas reconocidas en Amazon, pero el vendedor no goza de buenas calificaciones, asi mismo, si a futuro las quieres usar para teatro en casa, estas Polk te permiten armar un 5.1 con la misma serie Elite Signature con precios/calidad/disponibilidad de lo mejor.Pero si estas orientado mas a lo Audiofilo,pues lo correcto es en sonido Stereo solamente.Opciones: con un poco mas de pŕesupuesto, y si piensas en Audio Stereo solamente, échales un vistazo a las DALI Kupid, las envia Amazon Europa, han tenido muy buenos comentarios y DALI por demás, marca Danesa, muy bien reconocidas en bocinas de Gama alta. Revisa tambien las PSB Alph5, Klipsch y Elac Debut series. La ventaja de Polk, es la disponibilidad en Mexico y q son vendidas por Amazon Mexico.De amplificador, el Fosi ZA3 con DAC Fiio br13, dan buenos resultados, si tienes mas presupuesto, compra el DAC Fosi ZD3 ($3.7k) en lugar del Fiio, u opta por amplificadores receivers de marcas clásicas: Yamaha, Denon, Arcam, etcEn resumen, son muy buena opcion por el precio. El uso de un DAC receptor BT es mandatario si vas usar tu cell para enviar musica al amplificador, en las Edifier cambio mucho cuando les puse el Fiio BR13, y si usas cell Samsung, asegúrate de usar la opción LDAC en configuración de BT.

La verdad superaron mis expectativas, calidad de sonido premium, se pueden escuchar detalles que realmente me sorprenden, graves, agudos y medios se escuchan increíbles. Las recomiendo ampliamente, valen la pena.. las complemento con el receptor Yamaha R-S202.
