Gorgeous for my dog but the little get has chewed it. I was gutted as I thought it is for anxiety in dogs.. she just wanted to eat it

It arrived in a packet, as a rolled up, vacuum packed ‘donut’ bed I was very disappointed because the photos on Amazon that advertised this, suggested that it was much more substantial than it is. There is a really paltry amount of stuffing in the outer ring and certainly not enough to keep a little (shi-tzu sized) dog snuggled up and resting head on the outside ring. I tried hard to ‘fluff’ up the outer ring but couldn’t because there was insubstantial stuffing. The base of the bed is simply fabric…not a hide or hair of stuffing on the base.I live in an isolated and remote area so althoughI wanted to return it, it was easier to adapt it using my sewing skills and a “squirrel’s cupboard” of upholstery remnants and offcuts.The other disappointment was that there is no way to remove the cover in order to wash the thing. Since my dog gets dirty as only dogs do in the Autumn, and my cats sometimes have a penchant for vomiting on furniture (why do cats do that? Plenty of hard flooring and other places to throw up their catches, grass or dinner!) including the dogs beds, it would have been so much better to have a zip installed somewhere to enable me to wash it.The reason I bought it was because of the advertising and photo similarity to a bed that my dog loved when we stayed in a fantastic hotel in Suffolk. It looked to be similar…..I should have known not to trust adverts. It’s not British made, and it’s carbon footprint is outrageous given the thousands of miles it must have had to travel, being made on the other side of the world. That is another gripe …..I am fully supporting local and British manufacture even if it costs a bit more simply because we have to think of the survival of this planet. Grrr! Maybe, I should have tried making one from scratch.

The media could not be loaded.  As you can see from the photos, the bed is not particularly structured and initially my dog was playing with like it’s a toy. He is trying to tear it apart and rolling around in it now so I don’t think it’s particularly useful as a bed, I think his memory foam mattress is more suitable. I also think the bottom of the ‘bed’ is far too thin, if you put your hand on the edges you feel the floor. Not particularly well made and not worth the price in my opinion

Bought a large sized bed for our whippet. He loved it. He immediately lay in the bed and fell asleep.
