I planted these seeds in red clay soil near the end of summer. The popped up quickly and reached full size pretty quickly. The smaller pollinators seemed to like them. The deer took a nibble but didn't eat them all.

Very very small amount of seed and half of them did not germinate

When shopping for buckwheat, make sure you keep take note of the quantity. This is only 16 grams. Very few seeds really. You can get a 10 pound bag for about $30 which would make 16g about $0.10. If you are looking at this product, you obviously don't need 10 pounds, but you can shop around and get 1 pound for about $6-7 which will fill your area much better.

Ordered them again! Great seeds. Fast growing, long lasting little white round flower puff type. Just planted more today. Easy to plant here and there as cute dainty fillers. Love my buckwheat!!!
