Larger Gryffindor Hogwarts' House Shield Harry Potter Iron On Applique Patch

The patch came unpackaged and looked as though it was peeling. I used it to iron on to my son's homemade robe anyways because we didn't have time to send it back and get another. Within less than an hour of putting the robe on my son, the patch peeled right off of the iron on backing. This meant that the only way to get it back on would be to superglue it, which I wasn't going to do at that price. Sadly we had to send it back. This may have been a defective one, so good luck if you choose to buy it.

I'm not familiar with iron-ons at all and it didn't come with any sort of instructions not even a picture of how-to, so I tried running the ironing board over it on Cotton--that's the material I was ironing it on to, like I would a regular shirt, no go. So then I figured, maybe it just needed more time to stickyify. So I plopped the iron directly over the patch for I don't know 10 or 15 seconds and it did the trick. Totally made my halloween great!

I ordered this to use for a robe i am making my 9 year old grandson for Christmas. It is jist the right size for that project. I had a peoblem with receiving my order, and as soon as i notified the vendor, a correction was made immediately. I would use this vendor again with no hesitation, and this shield is a high quality and just as described.

I paid too much because I needed a Gryffindor patch right away. It's not the greatest patch I've seen but it certainly works and it looked great on my son's Hogwarts robe. No complaints, it did the job. I don't love how the shape is not really a "shield."

Anything Harry Potter is awesome, not to mention the stitching was very well done. We bought it to use on a Halloween costume, but couldn't bring ourselves to do it, so it is proudly displayed with our other Harry Potter swag!

The glue backing does not adhere well to some fabrics, no matter how long or on how high a heat setting on the iron. Even Bonding Agent 007 wouldn't adhere the darned thing. Otherwise, it's a good patch, provided you feel like hand sewing it on.

A great patch. Exactly what I was looking for. High quality embroidery. It ironed on just fine. It was applied to poly cotton fabric.
