I was really nervous to try this but I am absolutely FLOORED by the results. I now have a subscription to the Smoky Scarlet shade every two weeks to keep it fresh. It’s insanely easy to apply, there is MORE than enough in the bottle to cover my decently-long hair, my hair feels nice after coloring, and the color. THE COLOR, Y’ALL. I added a picture with my natural color (veererrrryyyyyy dark blonde that turns gold in the sun) as well as the color Smoky Scarlet produces on me. It’s a gorgeous dark red that allows my gold to peek through in the sun. When I tell you I’m obsessed … I AM OBSESSED. I had no issues with leakage of any kind. I truly can’t say enough good things about it.

I did exactly what the instructions said and waited for 45 minutes to let it process. I already have red hair with a darker root and saw zero difference in my hair. I was expecting a richer deeper red and I’m still the same color with my roots (non colored hair) showing. I have used much cheaper brands and had better results. Very dissatisfied with this product.

I wanted to give my hair a color refresh before going on a little beach vacation and this was a great kit to use! I should say that I've dyed my hair myself from boxes several times over the past few years so I have some experience with different brands and kits.My hair was a natural mid-brown before dyeing and the attached picture is the result! As far as the color goes I am incredibly happy with it and I got several compliments on it over the past couple days.The kit itself is one of the better kits I've used to dye my hair. It comes with gel to protect the skin around your hairline which is a nice touch, and the included gloves are thin and comfortable (not oversized clear plastic messes!). The developer bottle has a screw on cap, which is great for making sure dye doesn't go flying during the shaking process. This kit also comes with the standard post-dye conditioner which worked quite well. Another more interesting addition to the kit is a wipe to help get rid of any dye that gets on your countertops or skin, which is thoughtful but didn't work very well for me.The size of the kit is about as expected. You can see the length of my hair in the attached image, and it is medium-to-thick bodied. One bottle was exactly enough for dyeing my hair, but I would have been well-served by a second package just to really saturate some more. If I decide to use this brand again I would likely want to purchase a second kit, but at that point I would be approaching the cost of just going to the salon for a dye job, so I'm not sure how I feel about the value for money at that point.Overall I'm really happy with the results I got from this kit. My hair was just the color I hoped for, plus it was left feeling very soft and clean. It looks beautiful and natural. I would recommend this kit in the Smoky Scarlet color!

This is, perhaps, the worst haircolor I have ever tried. Like others have mentioned, it smells overwhelmingly like an cigarettes. There is very little product. My hair sits just above my shoulders and there was not enough product to truly saturate all of my hair so the color was not even. The color came out so bad that I needed to use color oops afterwards. Do yourself a favor and use a different brand.

I used Smoky SCarlet and it's like I damaged my virgin hair for no reason at all. Didn't come out like the pictures for dark hair, it's only faintly red in indoor lighting. My hair now feels rough and looks the same after spending so much on this box dye.
